Changes

As I write this it is eleven degrees below zero outside of my apartment building on the Fahrenheit scale.  It's not quite the old eastern Front level of cold but it's still dangerous.  The Army Reserve unit I initially joined in 1982 was equipped and was training to be sent to Alaska in the event of an open war with the Soviet Union.

I had a lot to look forward to back then.

Now that the Soviet Union has departed from the scene our nation is facing a new hazard.  This is an ideological menace from from within our own educational establishment.

The ideology of Environmentalism.

One aspect of this problem is the theory of Anthropogenic Global Warming.  It is here that the actions of Mankind are deemed to be the cause of planetary heating.  A catastrophe that could only be stopped by a radical change in social behavior which in turn must be enforced with absolute compliance by a totally empowered state.

This notion is complete nonsense. 

As I write this a Russian icebreaker has just been freed from a pack of sea ice that according to Global Warming Theory should not have been present.  The expedition that chartered the ship were believers in the theory of Anthropogenic Global Warming who were seeking evidence to support their beliefs.

What they received was the opposite.  They recieved the truth. 

What appears to be an inherent part of Climate Change Theory is the notion that the planetary climate does not change without a human factor present.  That the natural climate is a static state.

But in reality there is hard physical evidence of radical climate change on the planetary scale.  Of rain forests running from pole to pole.  And of ice covering the entire planet.

The fact is that the Earth is a changing environment within an ever changing universe.  And all of this change is completely natural.

In light of this we must see that government policies, especially those reaching a totalitarian level of control are fundamentally oppressive and unnecessary.  Those laws and policies must be repealed.

And it's also time for the people in the Environmentalist Movement to grow up and get a life.

For the first time as an adult I can say that as an expression of joy and without embarrassment.

Christmas and the Winter Solstice are holidays that celebrate life.  Let us do so without any shame or embarrassment.  Let us live this as a day of happiness.

In the concept of DOUBLETHINK as identified by George Orwell the person holds two completely opposite concepts as being true at the same time and in the same respect.

That's not a question, but a statement of fact.

And you still don't understand what the 1st amendment means, nor what hypocrisy is. Bravo, sir, bravo. You just keep wearing that ignorance like a badge of honor

I will admit that my brain was damaged as the result of a serious illness but I still practice rational thought. Let's start with the charge of ignorance of the First Amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of a religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging freedom of speech,or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

That is the actual First Amendment of the United States Constitution.  As a declared candidate for the office of President of the United States I have to know this.  Or at least keep a copy of the document within arms reach when possible.

Now look at my initial statement concerning the Duck Dynasty mess.  I clearly did not call for the violation of the First Amendment.   What I did call for was that the owners of A&E should identify those allegedly speaking for the Homosexual Collective as hostiles and treat them as such.

And the best way to do this is to simply ignore their whining.

As for the charges of hypocrisy and ignorance, there is no proof given and thus no need to answer the charges.

Reality is real.  No statement to the contrary can ever change it.

Statement

This is my first public statement as a presidential candidate.

I do not watch cable television and normally could not care about what is presented or how the cable channels are otherwise run.  Given that, the act of the A&E network of suspending Phil Robertson, the head of the family presented in the program Duck Dynasty, is in my view an act of sheer lunacy.

The absolute fact of reality is that each person has a distinct experience of reality. Every person must reach their own conclusions about other people and and their place in reality altogether.

This is not a right.  This is an absolute fact of realty.

Those speaking for a homosexual collective have voice their aversion to statements made by Mr. Roberson on the practice  of homosexuality.*

So what?

Phil Robertson, as with all persons, has the moral obligation to see things as they are, to exercise judgement, and to speak on such matters as necessary.  The attack on Phil Robertson is an attack on all Americans.  Phil is simply the first target.

No one, singly or as part of a collective, has the right to silence another person.  The A&E networks have the right to control what they broadcast.  And they clearly have the right to stand up to collectivist pressure groups.

The management of A&E has the right and moral obligation to themselves, their staff, their actual audience, and their stockholders to tell the Homosexual Collective to bugger off.

To say that A&E should rescind their actions with respect to the Phil  Robertson and his family and apologize to them should go without saying.


*  Seriously, in my opinion, there is nothing special about the practice of assisted masturbation.  It is filthy, unhealthy, and frankly stupid.

A Reminder

The hulk of the USS Forrestal, the first super carrier of the U.S. Navy, has just been sold for one cent. [LINK HERE]

To put this in perspective a scrap dealer in Minnesota is paying 165 dollars a ton for steel. That would work out to 9.9 million dollars for the Forrestal. Either there is a serious overhead cost in scrapping the ship within the United States or someone made really good donation to The Big Zero.

My Cup Of Tea

With the extortion scandal that has been exposed in the opposite of progress [LINK HERE] the time has come again to consider the founding of a separate political party.

The apparent fact of the matter is that the scandal fully immerses both parties in both houses of Congress. The prior emphasis of The Tea Party has been to reform the Republican Party. But with the unfolding extortion scandal it appears that The Rot has fully effected the Grumpy Old Party to the core. One component of the scandal has been the illegal payment of family members out of campaign contributions. Even Ron Paul of Texas has transferred money from contributors to his daughters.

The effort to reform the GOP was chosen in part because the historic performance of new parties was dismal. But with the clear signs of The Rot within the GOP it now appears that we may be best off by starting with an effectively clean sheet of paper. The Tea Party will have to become a full service political party.

The path to freedom and the restoration of proper government will be longer and harder but I don't see another choice.

John McCain, the chef d'merde from Arizona is giving consideration (obviously not actual thought) to standing for reelection to the senate in 2016. He would be 80 years old.

An Open Message To Barack Obama

I have a message for Barack Obama the fool who is visibly upset at the fact that we won't blindly submit to his whims.

Get over it.

Sure, you claimed to won two presidential elections by a majority of the votes cast. (After all, you are a Illinois Democrat)

So what?

An election in a constitutional republic is a process of hiring someone to perform a constitutionally defined task. It is not a mystical collectivist ritual for the anointment of a stone age god-king. We do not believe in The Leader Principle. We do not believe that the stone age god-king that you have become is in any way the embodiment of a collective will. And we certainly do not believe that we are in any way subject to what is in fact your personal whim. We are not and never will be a living prop in your ideological fantasy. We will not bind ourselves with the chains that you offer us. And we will never embark on the path that always leads to the anonymous ditch outside of a town.

What you are is a believer in what Ayn Rand used to call the Primacy of Consciousness, a belief that reality is not inherently real but is in some way alterable by a ruling consciousness. In your case, the Collective, which in many versions of Socialist doctrine has a distinct consciousness of its own. Some Leftists have gone as far as to claim that the individual perception of actual reality, which invariably contradicts the doctrines of the collectivists, is a form of false consciousness.

This explains why the Left has made the effort to gain control of the Mainstream Media, and why they insist on "shaping opinion" instead of simply reporting the facts. Your supporters in the media are through the deliberate issuance of falsehoods trying to alter reality. But reality is inherently real. Facts are facts. Or to put it in the simplest terms: A is A.

The number of votes you received (or in the Chicago system, claimed to received) doesn't change the fact that you are wrong. Might (or in the Chicago system, the appearance of might) is not right.

You are about to learn in the worst way that reality is not subject to a majority vote.

Friday Night.

We had serious problems with Dihydrogen Monoxide last night.

We had two thunderstorms rip through the Twin Cities area last night. The first one had high winds and a heavy downpour. Central Avenue and Monroe Street in NE Minneapolis were blocked by flooding under the railroad overpasses. The second thunderstorm included a tornado that crossed North Minneapolis and hit the city water intake plant. Water service was out for several hours.

Oh, and I cut my left thumb while slicing potatoes and had to go to the ER at HCMC for two stitches and a tetanus shot. Because Central Avenue had been blocked I had to walk over to Jefferson Street and cross under the railroad bridge at 19th Avenue, which was not flooded, in order to return home.

Time for a pizza.

The fact of the matter is that the worst enemy of a nation and the armed forces of a nation is the government itself. The fact of the matter is that governing class in general decided to treat what should have been a total war as if it were a fight between street gangs.

We are losing what is in fact the Third World War because the rulers refuse to identify it as such. And that the cause of liberty is in fact a holy cause. We are in fact in a holy war.

One does not prevail in a holy war by pretending that the opposing faith is in fact valid. We can only prevail if we correctly expose the falsehoods for which the enemy is fighting. By treating their doctrine as false. And by systematically destroying their ideological infrastructure of indoctrination and enforcement. Destroy their texts and temples. And eliminate their enforcers and and indoctrinators.

The lives of good Americans will be sacrificed in the fictional nation of Syria so that President Barack Obama can pretend to be a savior.

President Obama is intervening the local equivalent of a street fight between the Sturmabteilung and the Schutzstaffel. This is full altruism. This does not serve any rational national interest. And this is an absolutely useless act.
