What Is To Be Done?

The goal of those who style themselves as Progressives is simply to obtain absolute power over everything and everyone.  No restraint has ever been shown by any of the partisans of “Progress” from Robspierre to the present day.  As a result our world is littered with the mass graves of those who were murdered in the name of Progress.  The fact is the concept of “Progress” is no more than an excuse for the unrestrained exercise of absolute power.  So what is this “partisanship” that this self appointed master to whining about? It is simply the fact that those condemned to be the slaves will not submit to the self-appointed masters.  In the ideal form of the state their whim reigns supreme and those who stand in opposition and disobedience are to be permanently silenced. Thus the mass graves that litter our world.  In this state the Masters are no different than a pack of predatory animals.  So what is to done with them?  In actual ethics the proper way to respond to a predatory animal is to kill it.  The Masters are essentially a pack of predatory animals and thus the proper response to their actions is simply to kill them.

One of the things we have to remember is that decent people (in the Gun Control and AGW debates) are used by monsters.

I was going east on Washington Avenue through the U of M campus and a male idiot decides to ride his bicycle in the middle of a snow shower on the wrong side of the street between the two lanes of eastbound traffic.  I shouldn't have been surprised by this.  Why do I somehow feel that getting a college education these days must in some way involve being lobotomized? 

There's no shortage of hardcore Leftists who're willing to follow orders.  The pacifism of the Left is, after all, just a pose.

"Progressive" is newspeak for someone who believes in the neolithic ideal of beating up and killing people and taking their stuff.  Remember: A day without Socialism is like a day without slavery and murder.  The more I look at the ongoing disaster in Washington the more I want someone in our armed forces to step up and overthrow the morons who call themselves an administration.  Authority is based on understanding and compliance to the truth.  Those who lie have no authority over anyone.  The Left abhors the thought of being judged by their character because they have none.   What's present is the black hole of their lust for power.  A desire for control over every aspect of our lives that distorts or destroys everything that comes within their influence.  The positive side is that if we don't drop below their moral event horizon we can escape from their influence.  But we'll be damaged as a result. 

For the concept of questioning authority to work it has to applied universally.  Absolutely without any exception.  Otherwise what is the point?

Some people wander in and read the blog, they repeatedly miss the point.  

Some piece of trash sent me a message, and I quote:

"Just remember however yoy (sic) vote. I'll Be cancelling your vote with mine."

This piece of trash doesn't care how many of us will be murdered so that it will feel good about itself.   I can't stop anyone from behaving as a Totalitarian piece of trash, Conservatives (and Libertarians in general) can treat them as such, from the neck until dead in the Nuremberg style.  Those who support monsters shouldn't be surprised to be treated as monstrous.

The total ideology of The Left can be politely reduced to one word:

Power

Over the previous two centuries The Left has generated immense quantities of text and verbiage to conceal this fact.  But when the results are exposed the true goal of The Left is revealed.  the obtaining of Power as a mode of existence can only be practiced as long as there are victims.   Once the victims have isolated themselves from those who seek Power, or have died off, the power trippers themselves must die off.  Of course The Left is fully aware of this and as a result have actively to maintain their hold on their victims.  Even going as far to use deadly force on some victims to frighten the remainder into compliance.  But because the victims are themselves beings of definite limits even fear as control mechanism will fail as the victims reach their limit to produce.  The system of the power trippers will absolutely fail.  This has happened several times in recorded history but The Left refuses to understand the lesson.

I'm fallible and I've made mistakes.  I made the mistake that opponents of Gun Control were being spoken to, in fact the proponents were being spoken to.  An example is below in italics.

I'd never heard the word "twit" before I began watching Monty Python's Flying Circus on the local public television station as I was growing up.  When the Twitter service became available I avoided it because I associated the name of the service with the concept of "twit."  As reported by Twitchy.com, the so called comic Sarah Silverman has unintentionally confirmed the validity of my decision.  Fortunately spittle can't be transmitted through the Internet.  First Silverman addresses us, the real citizens who accept responsibility for the armed defense of ourselves, our families, and our nation, with an apparently new pejorative term: Gun Boners.  The fundamental rule of argument is to address your audience with respect.  This is the case especially with those who clearly disagree with your proposition.  But then Liberals rarely had respect for their opponents or their victims.

The truth is never true to a Liberal.  Horrible things happen because the perpetrators believe they're the good people.  If a Progressive want to see someone who hates all they have to is view themselves in a mirror.  When I was involved with the U of M Objectivist Club we had several lecturers from the Ayn Rand Institute.  One of the lecturers was Dr. Peter Schwartz on the subject of Environmentalism.  The club put up several posters advertising the lecture.  Some of those posters were replaced by leftists with posters with obscenities scrawled on them, including swastikas.

The fact of the matter's that we live in a dynamic universe.  Variations in the average planetary temperature occur as part of a natural cycle.  Some people don't understand this.

You can't regain the moral high ground by digging deeper into depravity.  Bad people NEVER think of themselves as being bad people.  Anyone who claims that you hurt their feelings is wrong and they know it.

Believers in "Gun Control" believe they're good people, but from an objective perspective they're bad people.  It's easy to commit and advocate mass murder.  All a Statist needs to do to understand why a citizen needs an assault rifle is to look in a mirror.  All an advocate of gun control has to do is take any mouth dropping of a National Socialist and replace the word Jew with the words Gun Owner.  The advocates of gun control also think of themselves as good people but in fact they're evil.  The advocates of public disarmament call themselves Progressives but in fact they're reactionaries.  To advocate Gun Control is to advocate genocide.  Here in Minnesota anyone regardless of their criminal history can buy books or groceries without a permit.  The purchase of any firearm requires a state issued permit and if you have a criminal background forget it.

Collectivist trash such as the National Socialist German Workers Party, Soviet Communists, Anti-fa, and Black Lives Matter saw themselves as good people, but in reality they are evil. 

Antisemitism in politics is the practical equivalent of a dead canary in a coal mine, I can't say this often enough.  Antisemitism is bad enough, but it's also a symptom of a deeper political problem.

I have a message for those who style themselves as progressives.

We refuse to be a living prop in your ideological fantasies.  We refuse to bind ourselves with the chains that you offer us.  And we refuse to embark on the path that ultimately leads to the anonymous ditch outside of town.

This isn't Russia in 1917.  We know about the ultimate results of your ideological fantasy and won't go down that path without a fight.

So go home, grow up, and get a life.

And I have special message for all those schissekopfe who feel that its cool to wear a Che Guevara shirt in public: Che was the inhuman piece of excrement that Comrade Castro put in charge of "liquidating enemies of the people", which in reality meant shooting anyone with property to steal or who otherwise had a mind or conscience of their own.

In short, Che Guevara was a bloody communist mass murderer.  Wearing a Che shirt in a free nation is as disgusting as wearing a Heinrich Himmler shirt in Tel Aviv.

And wearing a Che shirt says that you are no better than a bloody murderer.

The only reason that you aren't beaten to a bloody pulp and hanged from a convenient tree or lamp post is that we are better than you and the murderer that you call a hero.

When the Nomenklatura want to grab something, they will simply proclaim that desired object was unearned by the rightful owner, or was otherwise stolen and grab it. This book asks: "What caused Nazi Germany?" Unlike lesser attempts to explain that blood bath, The Ominous Parallels answers: "The same philosophies that are prevalent in the United States of America." Dr. Peikoff argues convincingly that in both countries the intellectual, educational and political leadership share, explicitly or implicitly, the same core ideologies. These ideologies submit that reality is subjective--a malleable illusion; emotions are the proper guide to human action--especially the emotions of race and the tribe, which cannot be understood by outsiders; self-sacrifice for the sake of others should usurp a man's own desires--and the state must take any necessary action to ensure that sacrifice. These ideologies demand that "individual selfishness" does not obstruct the path of "the public interest."

From Part One, Chapter One: " 'To be a socialist,' says Goebbels, 'is to submit the I to the thou; socialism is sacrificing the individual to the whole.' By this definition, the Nazis practiced what they preached. They practiced it at home and then abroad. No one can claim that they did not sacrifice enough individuals."

The underlying theme in The Ominous Parallels is how philosophy shapes cultures, and reading this book, it is difficult to escape a feeling of hopeless dread; of being caught in racing floodwaters and swept madly toward a destruction you are helpless to prevent. Given the theme of this nation's descent into fascism, and Dr. Peikoff's uncompromising method of proving it, that is the proper effect.

The conclusion of The Ominous Parallels is not that we are helplessly destined to go to the same lengths down the same road as Germany. The conclusion is that it is time for us to choose whether or not we will; that if we fail to consciously decide, the decision will be made for us. Contrary to the bleating of irrationalists then or now, it is only a coherent philosophy of reason and individual rights which will give us the means to choose not to become our own slaughterhouse.

Dr. Peikoff shows that such a philosophy is not prevalent in the United States because, although this nation was unique in being founded on philosophic ideals (rather than arbitrary land-grabs and tribal warfare), it was ultimately lacking a coherent detailed formulation of those ideals, as well as the Aristotelian philosophers to create one. Independence from Europe was only won physically--not ideologically. "The land of poets and philosophers was brought down by its poets and philosophers," says Peikoff. The resulting bowel movement of docile Nazi sheep who obeyed their Fuhrer because they obeyed their philosophers could indeed be us, for their philosophers--their pragmatists and Kants, their Hegels and Marxes--are ours
by adoption.

We do have one trump card, "...the philosophical breach between the American people and the intellectuals." In Germany, the intellectuals and the people were united in ideology, feeling at home in their country and with each other. This, says Peikoff, is not yet the case in America. Peikoff's book will help to keep it that way.
