The Democrats Are Naked!

And Dan Rather and the Sixty Minute crew have some explaining to do.

John Podhoretz writes in the New York Post:

From the lies of Ben Barnes to the apparent forgeries of who-knows-who-did-it — why has "60 Minutes" exposed itself in this way?

We all know why. Its producers and others in the media think George Bush deserves to be beaten up now because of the beating administered to John Kerry in August. In some weird way, the editors and producers believe this is fairness at work.

Instead, they have unmasked themselves. Or rather, they have been unmasked by ordinary people who can see what they and their hired experts evidently could not.

It would appear that the Democrats and their media supporters are doing a live action version of The Emperor's New Clothes.

Someone tells Kerry that is would be good idea to strike a pose of superiority over President Bush by trupeting his service in Vietnam and the president's lack on same.

(Never mind all those Soviet bombers flying up and down the East Coast with only God and the Politburo knowing if the damned things were carrying live nuclear weapons.)

And the cloud of sycopants surrounding Kerry encourage him to strike the pose even though his publically recorded behavior after returning from Vietnam clearly resembles the Constitutional definition of a Traitor.

And if that wasn't enough, the socialist partisans who produce Sixty Minutes come into possession of documents purporting to show that President Bush had been AWOL from his Air National Guard unit. Now it is not surprising that the younger staffers who came to age in the era of word processors may have been fooled, but Dan Rather, who is old enough to have used a manual typewriter before I born, should have caught the forgery. Instead of sending the forgeries back to the DNC source for correction Rather went ahead used them as they were.

I strongly suspect that if John Kerry were to strip naked and walk down Pennsylvania Avenue, Dan Rather and the other mainstream media drones would proceed to describe the well tailored suit that Kerry is clearly not wearing.
