Today was the anniversary of George Washington's Raid on Trenton, New Jersey.  In this operation a brigade sized force, including horses and cannon was put across the Delaware River.  The raid should have been seriously contested if not an actual failure.  A Loyalist had observed the crossing and went to Trenton to report it.  A note was written and given to the commander of the Hessian regiment stationed in the town.  Colonel Rall placed the note in his coat pocket and returned to his ongoing card game.  When the battle properly began he was one of the Hessian dead.  It really helps when the opponent is being stupid.  If our opposition continues to ignore reality we may have a chance of taking back our nation.  

On this day in 1989 the dictator of Romania was properly disposed of.

On this day in 753 ab urbe condita someone important was allegedly born in a barn.  There's now evidence that Christianity was created as a political control mechanism by Roman Empire or that Jesus Christ didn't exist.

Today was also the anniversary of the official fall of The Soviet Union.

If anything, we've should've learned during  the Century Of Death (a.k.a. the Twentieth Century) that a One Party state always leads to destruction.  The Democratic Party and their supporters appear to be moving towards a One Party state

When I was stationed at Fort Benning a friend asked me if he assume my identity if I was killed in action.  I immediately said yes.  This friend was from a Kossack family that had escaped Russia a half step before they were captured by the Red Army.  Given his Kossack surname he had the reasonable expectation of being murdered by the Soviets.

Question

The advocacy of a political end cannot be separated from the advocacy the means it is brought about.  The case in this point is that the disarming of The People requires the use of deadly force. Some advocates of "Gun Control" do not have a problem with this.  In their view reality is subject to a vote and therefore a vote to legalize the murder of citizens who own guns is morally correct.  But Reality is Real.  Reality is not subject to a vote.  And Murder is Murder.  No vote by any political body can change that.  The advocacy of "Gun Control" is the advocacy of Murder.  A government that legalizes Murder in this respect ceases to be a government and devolves to a gang of criminals.  And as such it must be put down by deadly force.  And those who pushed and voted for the Murder of gun owners  must themselves be put to death.

But is gun control effective?

No.

"We landed by night, and some of our aircraft came under attack as we did so. One carrying personnel from Tula landed with twenty-two holes in the fuselage. The people thronging around the airfield were armed with sub-machine guns, knives and clubs. I went over to the crowd and said, 'Look! The Army is not a cat to be swung around in the air. Clear the road!' The KPP (Control and Command Post) of the airfield was blocked with KRAZ and KAMAZ trucks loaded with boulders. People started shouting that we wouldn't get through. While I was talking to the crowds my sappers were cutting the wire fence about 200 meters to the left and right of the KPP. I gave the crowds five minutes to think things over. They began jeering and laughing. Within five minutes two companies from my Ryazan regiment had crossed through the holes in the wire. The whole crowd was ordered to lie face down. We kept them there all night, to let them think things over. When we told them to clear off, the next morning, nobody wanted to admit that he had come armed. They all just left their weapons behind. So I said, 'okay, let's just say we found them'."

If gun control doesn't keep firearms out of the hands of criminals (genocidal criminals at that) in Soviet Russia, it is not going to do so in Soviet America.

The fact is that some adherents of what was politely called gun control are in fact the heirs of Adolf Hitler and the National Socialist German Workers Party.  As a result it has become very-very-very-easy to predict what an advocate of public disarmament will say.  All one has to do is take any mouth dropping of Reichsminister Paul Joseph Goebbels and substitute the words Gun Owner for the word Jew.  Yes, it’s that obvious.

More Killing

Even if it kills me I will work to establish the Heinlein system as the government of the United States.

So what is the system Heinlein in his novel Starship Troopers?

Heinlein wrote the novel to be the part of the juvenile series of science fiction novels published by Scribners and as a response to pro-Soviet peace activism. In the novel a young man grows from a naive high school student to a junior officer in the army. The narrative of the novel also serves as the framework for a series of lectures about the nature of man, morals, war, and government. The most controversial concept in the novel is that not everyone should be allowed to vote. In the place of universal suffrage Heinlein proposed the idea that the legal status of Citizen, who is a member of the sovereign class of the nation with the authority to vote, has to be earned.

Then as now there were people who clearly didn’t understand the concept of government. Then as now there were those who sought to exploit the ignorance of the mere voter in order to obtain political power. And worse to obtain power without restraint.  Heinlein had proposed the idea of earning the sovereign franchise as a filtering mechanism to prevent obvious fools--such as peace activists--from influencing government.

The idea of the restricted franchise is not new. In the Polis of Athens the franchise was restricted to property owning members of the tribe but there was no legal restraint on the state. As history had shown this led to dysfunctions such as legal murder of Socrates.

It was not enough to restrict the powers of government but to restrict who could actually participate in the process of governing.  In effect to idiot-proof the system.

So is it actually necessary to fully implement the system that Heinlein proposed?

The fact is that all forms of authority are based on knowledge and political authority is no exception.  But in the present system political authority is granted to any warm body without regard to their the actual state of knowledge. As a result some warm bodies have traded their votes for a material object such as an IPad or a wad of cash. Or worse they have traded their votes for the warm and fuzzy feeling of having been compassionate.

The result is out present state of our nation. Those who lack knowledge or simple concern for consequences should not have authority over another person, let alone the fate of a nation.

My solution to the problem is simply proper education in the obligations of citizenship.

The course would be similar to a driver education course as presently taught. The first part of the class covers The Constitution, the proper functions of each branch of government, the function of each clause and amendment, the duties of the citizen as a member of the sovereign authority of the nation, and what is expected to happen when the Federal Government enters the failure mode.

The second part of the course covers the function and use of the instrument of political authority, the personal weapon. This covers rifle marksmanship and maintenance. Also covered is the basic organization and tactics of the citizen militia unit.

While the citizenship course will not be mandatory, completion and a passing grade will be required to exercise the authority to vote.

An Answer

In a comment on The Underground Bunker, a site critical of Scientology, I compared the credibility of the CoS with the famous press organ of the Soviet State:

When the Soviet era edition of Pravda (Truth) reported that Yuri Gagarin had orbited the Earth aboard Vostok 1 it was a rare instance their publishing a fact. The CoS can't even do that.

Someone then asked a question:

Please forgive me, I've wanted to ask you this for ages. Why do you go on and on about the Soviet Union so much? It ended 25 years ago, you know.

I answered:

Why does Bullwinkle the Moose keep trying to pull a rabbit out of the hat?

In spite of clear evidence that it's toxic some people continue to believe in enforced economic equality which was the doctrine that served as the foundation of the Soviet state. And because the Soviet state enforced a falsehood it had to act in an adversarial fashion with respect to Humanity in General. Like the Church of Scientology the Soviet State must lie to everyone.

The continued fail of a cartoon character to perform a magic trick is funny.  The suffering that will be inflicted by the insane Senator Sanders and his followers is nothing short of appalling.  And most importantly it is absolutely preventable.

Step Back, Part 10

On early Wednesday morning in Moscow a teletype machine sprang to life.  The communications watch officer at the Lubyanka tore off the message and read it.  The emergency message was from the KGB station chief in Hanoi and was written in the clear.  He personally hand carried the message to the senior watch officer that was on duty.

The senior watch officer read the message and then made a decision.  He looked up a telephone number from the list at hand and dialed it.

When a very grumpy old man answered the phone the senior watch officer spoke.

“Comrade Chairman, our Hanoi Station reports that the city is under attack.”

Yuri Andropov was clearly annoyed at being awakened in the early morning.

“The Americans are bombing again?  You called me at this time in the morning to report that?”

“No, Comrade Chairman, it’s not the Americans.  The station chief reports that the city is being hit with light beams fitting the description of those used on Nigeria.”

Fuck your mother, thought Andropov.  The sun had not risen yet over Moscow and this was clearly going to be a very long day.

On the ground Major Benson and his group of Ranger had surrounded one of the objectives, known in history as the Hanoi Hilton.  He then spoke to the fire support officer on the Eagle. 

“Eagle, this is Ranger Six, commence fire mission.”

“Aye-aye, sir.”

In sudden flashes of light the guard towers were vaporized. 

Major Benson now gave the order.

“Forward!”

In accordance to the plan the Rangers jumped over the fence surrounding the camp and began the process of systematically exterminating the guards and other state personnel present.  There were to be no survivors.

When the Rangers were finished with the grim task the prisoners were released from their cages and led to the center on the compound. 

Major Benson was supervising this part of the operation from the center of the camp when a ghost of a very badly beaten man stumbled up to him and spoke.

“Who are who?”

Benson recognized the man immediately.  He flipped open the visor on his helmet, and responded.

“Major Nathan Benson of the Ranger Company aboard starship Eagle, we’re from Alpha Centauri, sir.”

The man responded.

“Lieutenant Commander John S. McCain, Junior, United States Navy.”

Major Benson saluted Commander McCain and replied.

“Commander McCain, it is an honor to meet you , sir!”

The second squad cleared a landing zone outside the gate of the camp.  Here another lander with medical personnel aboard landed to take on the rescued prisoners.  From here they would be flown to Ton Son Nhat airport outside of Saigon.  Here, another officer from the Eagle was waiting for the rescue landers with some buses and every American military ambulance that was available.

Aboard the Eagle with the mission on the ground completed Mission  Commander Boatman gave the order to return the ship to the watch position over the United States.

As the Sun rose over Moscow the Soviet Politburo opened a very early meeting.

General Secretary Brezhnev asked the first question of KGB Chairman Andropov.

“Comrade Chairman, what is the status of Hanoi?”

Andropov looked at his notes and replied.

“Our men on the ground in Hanoi have not been able to go beyond the city limits, but as far as they could see the state apparatus in Vietnam has been effectively destroyed.”

“There’s no Communist State in Vietnam?”

“Correct, as far as they can see, Comrade Secretary.”

Brezhnev then turned to the Defense Minister and asked a question.

“Marshal Grechko, what is the status of our weapon to be used  against the Star People?”

“Comrade Secretary, although the weapon is still in the design stage but the components we expect to use are being brought to the  Baikonur Cosmodrome for assembly.  The current plan is to use the service module of a Soyuz spacecraft to carry the thermonuclear device to the target by remote control.  All work on the device is proceeding as quickly as possible.”

“Very good,” said Brezhnev, “but we need to do this quickly.”

Brezhnev then turned to the Foreign Minister, Andrei Gromeko.

“Comrade Minister, we need to speak forcefully in condemnation of the actions of the Star People.  We should also put forth a resolution in the U.N. General Assembly that the Star People and their ship be brought under U.N. control.”

“Yes, Comrade Secretary.”  Gromeko replied.

The Agriculture Minister spoke up.

“What good will that do, Comrade Secretary?”

Gromeko answered the question.

“As with all resolutions in that body it establishes a psychological position that we can exploit later on.”

The Agriculture Minister could only nod in agreement.

As the line of sunrise continued westwards across the planet newspaper editorial writers virtually leaped into action.  Most of them in line with ideological biases wrote to condemn the actions of the Uptimers in Vietnam.  This included the editors of the New York Times.

As the writers and editors were working at full speed to ready the later editions of the paper for publication a book reviewer spoke to his editor.

“How can real progress be made when those who do it are murdered from orbit with impunity?”

“I have no idea, Fred.”  The Junior Editor replied.  “Did you finish your assignment?”

“Yes,” said Fred, “I really wish you hadn’t given it to me to review.”

Fred dropped the review copy of The Concept of Government on the desk.

“Why?”

Fred replied.

“It’s total Fascist trash, and it’s murder pornography as well!”

“Murder pornography?”  Siad the Junior Editor.

“Yes,”  Fred replied, “the author, whoever it is, wants to exterminate all progressives, without exception.”

The Junior Editor had another question.

“Did they explain why it’s being printed in an anonymous and abridged edition?”

Yes,” said Fred, “according to the forward--written by that brat Boatman--the person equivalent to the author is living on this timeline and he believes that the progressives will murder him if the name is revealed.  Can you believe that bullshit?’

“No--Did he say why it was abridged?”

“He says that it would give information to the Progressive Movement that will allow it to avoid errors and make it more difficult to bring down.  He also calls all progressives ‘a pack of predatory animals and vermin fit for extermination.’”

The Junior Editor’s eyes widened.

“Well we can’t let that trash go unanswered.”  He said.

Trying Something Else

Comparison

I will start with an image:

When I was the age of this alleged man I was a Combat Rifleman in the United States Army (MOS 11 B) stationed at Fort Benning.   I lived in the barracks in the remote Harmony Church area of the military reservation.  And I was preparing for a transfer to Germany to face the Soviet Army.

It was fully understood that the Soviet Union held international conventions protecting the rights of soldiers and civilians in war zones in absolute contempt.  I had a close friend  whose Cossack family had escaped from Russia by hijacking a ship while half a step ahead of the Bolshevik Red Army.  He asked me that if in the event I was killed in combat if he could wear my identification tags so he wouldn't be identified as being from a family that had escaped from the Soviets.  And to avoid being immediately murdered as a result.

Of course I said yes.

The old school Soviet Communists had nothing but contempt for Human Life.  They had nothing but contempt for those under their rule.

The present day Progressives still hold Humans in contempt.  But that contempt appears to us differently.  In this case the ideal man who was prepared to face an unspeakable evil is replaced by over-grown child who is to whine his parents into compliance with the whims of The Big Zero.

At least the old school Soviets were real men.
