It has come to my attention that Whoopi Goldberg is irrationally afraid that the next Republican president will somehow resurrect the practice of chattel slavery.
It would be all too easy to dismiss Ms. Goldberg as an ignorant something that rhymes with runt, but I will instead respond in a more gentlemanly manner:
"Ms. Goldberg, the Republican Party led this nation in the bloodiest war in it's history in order to put an end to chattel slavery. We are not about to reconsider our position on the issue."
What are your questions on this block of instruction?
