Something most folks don't realize is that the Grunge look that was
popular was actually invented by the German Communist
playwright Bertholt Brecht. This comrade had a West German publisher,
an Austrian passport, a Swiss bank account, and an East German theater
company with hot and cold running actresses.
Nice work if you can get it.

Something I Learned

History Lesson
What most people don’t realize is that The Matrix is really a remake of the 1969 East German film Wirklichkeit ist eine Illusion, also lassen Sie uns sprechen Rätsel, Eintragfaden-Polizei und Tanzkampf
(”Reality is an Illusion, so Let Us Speak Riddles, Shoot Police and
Dancefight”). This film was made in response to the large number of
philosophically obscure European films released in 1968 and the East
German communists didn’t want to be left in the dust by their Western
opposite numbers (It’s the RED pill for a reason).
Unfortunately
the East German censors were either not “read in” on the project or they
didn’t care and they refused to approve of its release and the film was
placed into storage until the fall of the East German communist
government in 1989. After a very short limited release a number of VHS
copies of the film made it to Los Angeles and the rest is history.
(Yes, I’m kidding.)

Thoughts For The Day
Knowledge is knowledge. Some of the things one learns are nasty, live with it.
Battlefield Earth is so bad I can’t even watch a review of it.
Even though I judge everyone by the same moral standard regardless of their ethnic background I'll be denounced as a racist.
Peace Activists are essentially part of the problem of aggression.
Authority: Someone who knows what they're talking about and what they're doing. It's not a word that can be reasonably used to describe the present occupants of the executive and legislative branches of the Federal Government.

Question Of The Day
There is no such thing as common sense Gun Control.
Punishing a man for an act he did not commit is unjust. Imprisoning a man for speaking the truth is tyrannical. Disarming the citizens -- who are the sovereign authority of the nation -- is treason. To say anything more would require the extensive use of barracks language.
