Check This Out!

The People's Progressive Truth Generator.

My first shot on this came up with this:

Leslie Bates, you are a hateful caveman because you're a heterosexual male who prefers women with shaved legs and armpits!

Wow! Who needs Comrade Alfredo when you generate your own socialist falsehoods with the click of a mouse.

Rant of the Day

From the Associated Press:

A Texas grand jury on Wednesday charged Rep.
Tom DeLay and two political associates with conspiracy in a campaign finance scheme, forcing the House majority leader to temporarily relinquish his post.

Jesus fucking Christ! (L. Ron fucking Hubbard for the Scientologists) If Hillary gets in the White House our republic is fucked! Hell, Humanity as a whole will be fucked!

This is the sort of shit that will make it easier for that Stalinist bitch Hillary to get elected. 2008 will be their last chance to regain the presidency, and because they are serving the "holy" cause of socialism there will be no fucking way that they will ever allow themselves to be turfed out of the highest office ever again. Socialism can only be maintained by a dictatorship and do not doubt for a minute that Hillary will try to establish one.

From now on the rule of thumb for any legally questionable financial transaction is, when in doubt, don't.

Let the Democrats cheat, and be caught.

Update at 1515 hrs

Apparently this indictment is the action of a rogue dictrict attorney in Texas.

We had one of those up here in Minnesota too if I recall.

Another bad habit of Democrats.

Update at 2250 hrs

From CNN.com:

"For three years and through numerous grand juries, Ronnie Earle has tried to manufacture charges against Republicans involved in winning those elections using arcane statutes never before utilized in a case in the state.

"This indictment is nothing more than prosecutorial retribution by a partisan Democrat."

The abuse of the criminal justice system for partisan purposes is a crime against the citizens of this republic and Comrade Earle should be removed from office and punished as severely as possible. Too bad hanging is not an option here.

And if someone sees Senator Kennedy, ask him how Mary Jo is doing.

Former FEMA Director Michael Brown:

"My biggest mistake was not recognizing by Saturday that Louisiana was dysfunctional."

Unlike Democrats, Mr. Brown does not pretend to be infallible.

C'est Pathétique

From the world of crime:

SHAWNEE, Kan. (AP) - A would-be carjacker got away with nothing more than the keys Monday after he apparently was thwarted by the vehicle's manual transmission.

The thief was armed with a shotgun when he ordered a 26-year-old man out of his Chevrolet Camaro in a suburban Kansas City parking lot. The driver complied, but when the robber got into the car he was unable to manage the stick shift.

The robber fled the scene in a four-door car that someone else was driving.

I don't know what to say.

I should think that it is common knowledge that the "coolest" cars out there have manual transmissions. I actully prefer to drive a manual over driving an automatic.

But then it really doesn't take any knowledge to be a criminal.

Quote of the Day

As its most enthusiastic promoter, I am often asked when I think the first space elevator might be built. My answer has always been: about 50 years after everyone has stopped laughing. Maybe I should now revise it to 25 years.

I'll bet he is still kicking himself for not getting a patent on the idea of the communication satellite.

My Horoscope

From The Onion of September 21, 2005:

Sagittarius November 22 - December 21

Venus, the harbinger of love, will enter your sign this week. Unfortunately, so will busload after busload of obnoxious, sightseeing tourists, which kind of ruins the mood.

Yes, I suppose that it would.

Oh Really?

There are 4,755 dead voters in New Jersey:

More than 6,500 voters cast ballots both in New Jersey and another state in last November's election, while 4,755 ballots were cast by deceased voters, Republican State Committee Chairman Tom Wilson said.

In addition, 54,601 people are registered to vote in two New Jersey counties, and 4,397 of them cast ballots in both places last fall, Wilson said.

So what else is new?

Of course the Donks had to respond:

"If the Republican Party conducted the investigation, it's safe to assume that the facts and figures are wrong and the findings are suspect," Democratic spokesman Richard McGrath said. "If an investigation is needed, it should be done the right way, not the Republican way."

Of course for the Donks the right way is a dog and pony show where the evidence conveniently disappears and their party is absolved of all wrongdoing.

So could someone explain to me again what the difference between the Democratic Party a criminal gang is?

Someone Else's Thought For The Day

Dr. Samuel Gregg on Marx and Marxism:

A consistent anti-human vision features throughout Marx’s thought. For Marx, man is a being whose origins are irrelevant, whose future is extinction, and whose present is beyond his control. Even people living in Marx’s Communist society have no possibility of a meaningful existence. Marx once described Communist society as one in which it would be possible “to do one thing today and another tomorrow; to hunt in the morning, fish in the afternoon, breed cattle in the evening and criticize after dinner, just as I please.”

This sounds idyllic until one realizes that, from Marxism’s perspective, none of these activities can have any value for humans. For true materialists, there can be no qualitative difference between reading and fishing, working or sleeping, living or dying. Everything has the same value and therefore no value. In this world, there is no difference between Mother Teresa’s work and that of a concentration camp guard. They share equally in a general irrelevance of everything and everyone.

This tells us that Marxism cannot be interested in justice or liberty. It insists that we are like driftwood, floating hither and thither on the waves of history. In such a world, our lives matter naught. Our deaths are irrelevant. We merely try and salvage whatever animal satisfaction we can from life, before our essential nothingness is finalized in our ultimate annihilation as living beings.

So much for Marx’s humanism. A more serious problem with Marxist philosophy is its legitimatizing of criminality.

By “criminal,” I do not simply mean the occasional breaking of law. Rather, I mean a situation whereby people decide that they are above law; that they are not subject to law; that law is merely another tool of power. For if Marxism is right and materialism is true, then systematic violence to pursuit political goals is acceptable.

The irony is that while millions today know about the Nazis’ unspeakable crimes, rather fewer know about the atrocities committed by Lenin, Stalin, Castro, Pol Pot and other Marxists. It is as if there has been a subtle agreement not to discuss these crimes. This studied ignorance manifests itself when we observe red flags emblazoned with hammers and sickles waved at demonstrations. Do their wavers know what the red flag means for those who were enslaved and killed by Marxist regimes? Why is Marxism’s red flag not treated with the same contempt rightly attached to the swastika?

Meanwhile in the Land of 10,000 Loonies Lakes

Garrison Keillor has to prove in court that Minnesotan Liberals really are stupid.

Some people believe that Mr. Keillor is a comedian but the fact of the matter was that Keillor was a talentless hack with his snout in the public trough. The Prairie Home Companion was just plain boring.
