Stand With Edward Cline

Last week, Objectivist novelist Edward Cline received a tenancy termination notice from his landlord because his landlord learned that the FBI visited Ed to inform him that his “Rule of Reason” column and his books, “Islam’s Reign of Terror”, “A Handbook on Islam” and his novel, “The Black Stone ” have all attracted the attention of ISIS and other Islamic terrorist groups. The landlord considers Ed’s continued tenancy a threat and doesn’t want to run the risk of Islamic-inspired murder on her doorstep.

Needless to say, this forced moved puts tremendous financial pressure on Ed. Quite frankly, at almost 70 years old, Ed doesn’t have the resources to confront it. Ed’s supporters have created a GoFundMe page to raise money to help defray Ed’s expenses.

In my view, if good people don’t stand up and help Ed fight this menace, evil wins. The Islamists would be more than happy to see Ed in the gutter. We can’t allow that to happen. We can’t say that we value our freedom of speech and then allow jihadists to silence our good friend and fellow traveler.

I ask that if you value reason, free speech, and want a world free of Islamic terrorism, that you please make a financial contribution in support of Ed Cline today. No amount is too small and every contribution counts.

From chapter five of the current novel project:

He would fly to Washington was on American Airlines flight 23.  The Boeing 727 aircraft would make a stop at Chicago and then Stone would stay overnight at a Washington hotel before speaking to the committee.

But there was an interruption.

Stone sat in an isle seat in the coach class and was writing in an open notebook.  This was another chapter in the novel which described the construction of five sublight starships: Exodus, Humanity, Courage, Achievement, and Guardian.  They were two stage vessels propelled by an inertial confinement fusion drive that used Deuterium and Helium-3 for fuel.

As he roughed out the details of vessels Stone heard shouting from the middle of the coach class section.

A tall bearded man in his mid-twenties with long dark brown hair, blue eyes, and glasses, had taken one of the flight attendants as a hostage with a small automatic pistol.  The hijacker was also shouting Marxist slogans.

Great, thought Stone, another Hero of the Proletariat.

Stone closed the notebook and shifted the pen to the left hand to serve as a makeshift dagger.  With the notebook in his right hand He watched as the hijacker moved back towards the rear of the aircraft.   

The hijacker spun with his hostage as he moved down the aisle.  As the hijacker was faced away from Stone he suddenly stood up and stepped into the aisle As the hijacker turned to face him he threw the notebook at the face and surged forward.  The pen was pointed down in the left fist and with the palm of the right hand to guide and add force to the blow he stabbed the hijacker in the right eye.  With the open palm of the right hand he made another blow to drive the pen further into the brain.

The hijacker fell to the deck.

Stone reached down and picked up the weapon.  It was a Walther PPK, the Polizeipistole Kriminalmodell, in the original 7.65 millimeter caliber.  The weapon still had the Waffenamt stamp for weapons issued by the Third Reich.

Nice.  He thought.  Perfect weapon for a murderer.

He pulled back the slide and ejected a round.

Loaded.

At least six rounds.

I think.

With the weapon in a two hand grip at the eye level Stone moved forward into the first class section.  There he found the two other hijackers.  They were screaming at the passengers and each one was holding a PPK to the head of a flight attendant and the closest of the two was facing away from him.

Stone aimed at the center of the back and fired two rounds.  As the nearest hijacker dropped to the deck he now focused on the other.  He carefully lined the sights on the right eye of the assailant.

Focus.

Hold breath.

He pulled the trigger. 

A red spot appeared below the eye.

Blood and brains sprayed from the back of the head and the assailant dropped to the deck.

It was over.

Stone knelt down and gently laid the weapon on the deck. He then stood and spoke.

“Could someone tell the Captain that the situation is resolved?”

On the ground he was personally debriefed by the head of the FBI field office in Chicago, who in turn was stunned to hear that Stone wanted no publicity about his actions on the aircraft.

“I don’t understand?”

Stone replied.

“Sir, we are at war.  Our enemy sees us as either things to be used or trash to be disposed of.  And they absolutely hate those who raise a hand in defiance.  They are driven by emotion and the primary objects of their hatreds are those who stand against them.  Any publicity on my actions in this incident will be an effective death sentence.  Do you understand, sir?”

The senior agent stared for a moment before answering.

“Yes...yes, sir.”

Stone would stay overnight in a hotel near O’Hare Airport before moving on to Washington.

Sunday Morning Comment

A bit over a century ago this nation was governed by rational citizens who in turn were led by men that performed their civic and military duties in a manner commensurate with their social standing.

But today we are subject to the literal whims of creatures with absolutely no understanding of Human Life or of the responsibilities of citizenship.  They scream and throw temper tantrums that would embarass an actual child while making demands that are absolutely insane.  Their inorance of ethics and economics lead to demands that could only be enforced by those with an total lack of conscience such as Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge.

This is the face of our new rulers:

Non-sentient animals who deserve only our contempt.

But these walking brain death cases didn't appear out of nowhere.  Their precursors, and actual mothers, had made themselves known.

Twenty five years ago when I was an active member of the Libertarian Party a group of the precursors made an appearance at a Tax Day protest:

Once upon a time ago (during Gulf War I) when I was an active member, the Libertarian Party of Minnesota was holding their Tax Day demonstration by the west entrance of the Minneapolis post office. We were handing out our party theft day literature to our fellow victims of socialist compassion. I was at the time wearing a dress shirt and tie to distinguish myself the Grassroots Party in their more proletarian garb. This didn't always succeed, as there was one woman who thought I was pothead and exhibited a near-psychotic fear of same. 


But since the Grassroots crowd were a bunch of socialists perhaps that fear wasn't so irrational. 


At about ten p.m., a dozen (my estimate, I didn't get an exact count) female humanoids (they were shaped like females) in tight black somethings came marching by wearing gas masks (not something one would want to wear in cold weather) and big--like three foot wide--yellow bows with price tags marked "$60,000,000,000" They were handing out little red cards identifying themselves as "Sluts for Peace/Art/Humanity/Sanity and the Earth". (With a name like that, did they really expect to be taken seriously?)
One side of their card read:

Midnight approaches. Let's talk about death and taxes. (They weren't very talkative) How much did you pay? For what? We see red. (One really can't see very much in a gas mask.)

The other side of the card read as follows:

Stay where you are now silent, or
Let us assist you in asking
Universal Questions about life.
This is it, our only life on earth;
Speak to your heart.

Now if they really wanted an emotional conversation (Oh wow man! Reason! What a concept!) the least they could have done was to leave a phone number where they could be reached. As it is, this was simply another instance of mindless posturing, (possibly a "New Age" voodoo ceremony or a audition for a NEA or other government arts grant) interfering with rational political discourse. I had to explain to someone that I was not one of the Art Sluts before he would take one of our Libertarian theft day fliers. At the time I thought that at future demonstrations I should wear my BDU Woodland pattern cammo jacket.

Yesterday I forgot to make my annual comment on the anniversary of the Waco Massacre so today I'll quote from last year's comment:

In Georgia a former enlisted member of the United States Air Force was arrested for interfering with the burning of the flag of the United States by a mob of so-called students.

Why should anyone make a fuss about burning our flag?

The burning of our flag is a symbolic act. As the flag represents us as a free people so does the destruction of the flag represent the destruction our nation and our way of life.  Without question those perform the act of burning the flag are nihilists who would--given the means and opportunity--actually perform the act of murdering Americans in the worst way possible. But this isn’t simply a wishful thought on the part of a gang of collectivists.  To our shame it had actually happened here in the United States.  Today is the 22nd anniversary of the event commonly known as the Waco Massacre.

What happened?

The local office of the BATF received a report of automatic weapons fire at the residence of Branch Davidians outside of Waco, Texas.  No inquiry was made with the local law enforcement agencies.  Nor did they as allowed under the current regulations send agents out to inspect the federally licenced firearms dealer residing on the site.  And they could have arrested Koresh as he made his morning run but did not do so.   With his past history of cooperation with local law enforcement they could have simply asked him to come down to the local sheriff’s station.

Instead they attempted to stage a military-style assault, code named Operation Showtime, in order to impart a positive impression of the agency upon the current administration in Washington.  After the task force was driven off the Hostage Rescue Team of the FBI, descended upon the Branch Davidians and laid siege to the residence.

On this day 21 years ago The HRT used armored vehicles to destroy the exits from the building and to allow the wind to blow through it and then injected CS gas, known to be inflammable and toxic to children and elderly persons, into the wooden structure.  HRT fired CS rounds, which are incendiary devices into, the building.

A tactic to commit mass murder used by the Nazis in Poland and Russia was to confine civilians, especially women and children, in wooden buildings and set the structures on fire.

To this day the perpetrators remain at large.

The other anniversary today is of the bombing of the Federal Building in Oklahoma City in 1995.

Timothy McVeigh, who carried out the Oklahoma City bombing was a white racial collectivist and was acting out the white racial warrior martyrdom fantasy depicted in The Turner Diaries.

The novel, if I recall reading it correctly, depicts the conquest and subjugation of the white population of the United States by a self appointed elite group that called itself "The Order." All non-whites, including Jews, were exterminated. Any white person who refused to obey The Order was executed as a race traitor. The actions of The Order as depicted in the novel were very much like the practice of Islam without the claim of divine sanction. Unlike today's political Right, but like all known collectivists, such as the National Socialists of Germany, The Order rejected all of the Rights of Man and killed anyone who served no place in their collective.

Fortunately, I read it on a website where the text was posted. So apart from the fee for Internet access, I didn't have to pay a cent to read it. I would later describe the experience of reading it as being the intellectual equivalent of the act of swimming in raw sewage.  The website and text is gone now. I think this is somewhat unfortunate because I believe that no rational person should have to pay a cent for the privilege of reading a book that calls for their own murder. .

I just posted this on an Objectivist site:

Fourteen years ago an Objectivist working in the Security Department of Healtheast in Saint Paul, Minnesota had a dispute with the site supervisor. He wrote out a formal complaint and personally delivered it to the head of the department. On April 8th he met with an apparatchik of the Human Services Department who told him:

Trying to be right is unhealthy.

This was simply insane. Healtheast was a chain of hospitals and an error in the heath care process would lead to prolonged suffering or death. Upon reflection the Objectivist had concluded that the apparatchik, and thus the management, were pragmatists who didn’t see reality as being inherently real and only saw differences in opinion instead. The Objectivist decided at that point to bail out from Healtheast, which in turn would be sued for a wrongful termination caused by the same site supervisor.

On February 1st the Minneapolis StarTribune, the socialist rag of the Twin Cities, published the following full page ad:

 The obvious question is how can someone be tricked into betraying any moral value when they absolutely lack one?

The false prophet Mohammed commanded his followers to conquer along with the commission of the acts of rape, robbery, and murder. The doctrine of Islam commands enslavement and the systematic violation of the rights of man and for the believers to act as predatory animals. Without question the doctrine and practice of Islam is absolutely depraved.

Given that Human Life is the foundation of all valid moral values then Islam must be absolutely condemned. But the signatories of this document refuse to understand these facts of reality and condemn as immoral those who hold an actual moral standard.

I am hard pressed to respond to this utterly depraved document without the use of barracks language.

Back when there was an afternoon newspaper I delivered it after school.  I also spent the summer between high school and junior high working with other boys on an organized grass cutting project.  And during high school and tech school I worked 10-12 hours a week doing light junitorial work after classes.  Apart from the paper route all of this was for the minimum wage of less than three dollars an hour.

I have nothing but contempt for the crybabies who complain about having to do menial labor.

Democratic Government is a contradiction in terms.  Democracy is in fact the unlimited rule with the sanction of a majority.  At least it is in theory.  In fact that majority may very well be a myth.

* In St. Lucie County, FL, there were 175,574 registered eligible voters but 247,713 votes were cast.

* The National SEAL Museum, a polling location in St. Lucie County, FL had a 158% voter turnout.

* Palm Beach County, FL had a 141% voter turnout.

* In one Ohio County, Obama won by 108% of the total number of eligible voters.

NOTE: Obama won in every state that did not require a Photo ID and lost in every state that did require a Photo ID in order to vote . Imagine that…..

This book asks: "What caused Nazi Germany?" Unlike lesser attempts to explain that blood bath, The Ominous Parallels answers: "The same philosophies that are prevalent in the United States of America." Dr. Peikoff argues convincingly that in both countries the intellectual, educational and political leadership share, explicitly or implicitly, the same core ideologies. These ideologies submit that reality is subjective--a malleable illusion; emotions are the proper guide to human action--especially the emotions of race and the tribe, which cannot be understood by outsiders; self-sacrifice for the sake of others should usurp a man's own desires--and the state must take any necessary action to ensure that sacrifice. These ideologies demand that "individual selfishness" does not obstruct the path of "the public interest."

From Part One, Chapter One: " 'To be a socialist,' says Goebbels, 'is to submit the I to the thou; socialism is sacrificing the individual to the whole.' By this definition, the Nazis practiced what they preached. They practiced it at home and then abroad. No one can claim that they did not sacrifice enough individuals."

The underlying theme in The Ominous Parallels is how philosophy shapes cultures, and reading this book, it is difficult to escape a feeling of hopeless dread; of being caught in racing floodwaters and swept madly toward a destruction you are helpless to prevent. Given the theme of this nation's descent into fascism, and Dr. Peikoff's uncompromising method of proving it, that is the proper effect.

The conclusion of The Ominous Parallels is not that we are helplessly destined to go to the same lengths down the same road as Germany. The conclusion is that it is time for us to choose whether or not we will; that if we fail to consciously decide, the decision will be made for us. Contrary to the bleating of irrationalists then or now, it is only a coherent philosophy of reason and individual rights which will give us the means to choose not to become our own slaughterhouse.

Dr. Peikoff shows that such a philosophy is not prevalent in the United States because, although this nation was unique in being founded on philosophic ideals (rather than arbitrary land-grabs and tribal warfare), it was ultimately lacking a coherent detailed formulation of those ideals, as well as the Aristotelian philosophers to create one. Independence from Europe was only won physically--not ideologically. "The land of poets and philosophers was brought down by its poets and philosophers," says Peikoff. The resulting bowel movement of docile Nazi sheep who obeyed their Fuhrer because they obeyed their philosophers could indeed be us, for their philosophers--their pragmatists and Kants, their Hegels and Marxes--are ours
by adoption.

We do have one trump card, "...the philosophical breach between the American people and the intellectuals." In Germany, the intellectuals and the people were united in ideology, feeling at home in their country and with each other. This, says Peikoff, is not yet the case in America. Peikoff's book will help to keep it that way.

Hitler and Mussolini used to disrupt their political’ opponents’ meetings and speeches, Hitler’s gangs with truncheons, Mussolini’s with castor oil which they forcibly fed to opposition leaders. These tactics had been honed by the Reds before the Revolution, and were exported for use by the Communists in various parts of Europe. To the best of my knowledge there have been no such operations by Trump’s followers, but apparently there are increasing numbers of protests at his meetings. While there have always been some roughhousing and scuffles in American politics, raiding each other’s gatherings has not been traditional, with some exceptions. More usual is getting yourself thrown out of someone else’s meetings, thus getting the publicity rather than the speaker. I expect to see a lot of that in the next few weeks, and a great deal more after the conventions.

So far no Castor Oil, and I expect Trump and his followers are too smart to retaliate in kind; but we’ll see. Interesting times indeed. And as you say, they are protesting what he is fighting. I saw a number of “Veterans for Trump” looking rather disgruntled but doing nothing.  The US Army, led by West Pointers, is not the Wehrmacht of the Thirties, nor is the American Legion anything like the Stahlhut. But there are veterans of the Iraqi wars not all that much older than the protesters, and it is rather unwise to taunt them beyond the limits of patience.  Eventually that is going to happen and the result will not be pretty.  Today’s veterans are all veterans of a volunteer army; very few squishes among them.

The men of the town armed themselves and tracked the wolf pack back to its lair and proceeded to kill every member of the pack. And when the guns fell silent the only sound was a whimper emanating from a hollow beneath a tree stump.

In the hollow was a newborn wolf cub. One of the men, a bald fellow who wore glasses and a old black field jacket, shot the wolf cub with his rifle.

Another man asked the bald guy, “it didn’t harm anyone, why did you kill it?”

“It’s a fucking wolf,” the bald guy replied.

How does one answer this?

How can there be a rational response to such absolute depravity?

How can there be peace with those whose dearest wish is to murder you and your children?

It is simply impossible. 

Human actions are subject to choice, but to live a Human life one must be aware how to be Human.  A child must know that there is an alternative to being a murderer.  But those children raised under the guidance of Hamas know only murder as their goal in life.  Although they are human in physical form in mind they were made to be monsters programmed to destroy. And in order to live a proper human life we must destroy them.

Destroy or be destroyed, there is no choice for us.

A nice Jewish young lady has reported on some of the noise generated by what we politely call the other side:

Given that it appears that such persons cannot get out of bed at whatever time of day without divine or diabolical intervention I will have to seriously reconsider my current standing position on the existence of God.

The American edition of the Daily Mail site is reporting that the Salt Lake City police have shot a sixteen year old boy who was carrying a broomstick.  Although the race of the boy hasn’t been identified the article does show several photos of police confronting angry black people.

Although it’s easy to jump to a particular conclusion I will point out the following: 

The article did report that officers who were responding to an unrelated call came the teenager and his companion arguing with an adult man.  To a cop or civilian with this situation would appear to be a crime in progress.

The useless idiots who will come out to claim that the boy was unarmed.  But the fact is that a broomstick, with or without the head, can be used to inflict a blunt force trauma with deadly effect.  And though I have been paid to push a broom before my enlistment in the United States Army, I have never had occasion to carry a broomstick without the head.

Contrary to the noise generated by the racial collectivist trash known as Black Lives Matter* the rational thing to do is the say, “yes sir.” and gently put down the broomstick to defuse the situation.  To not do so is a Darwin Award level of stupid.**

* I’ve come to think of this lot as Die Swartzerstrumabteilung.

** Unless you’re a nice Jewish boy in Nazi Germany or a sane White guy on a college campus then the only option is to kill as many of the MF’s as possible.

So what is the system Heinlein in his novel Starship Troopers?

Heinlein wrote the novel to be the part of the juvenile series of science fiction novels published by Scribners and as a response to pro-Soviet peace activism. In the novel a young man grows from a naive high school student to a junior officer in the army. The narrative of the novel also serves as the framework for a series of lectures about the nature of man, morals, war, and government. The most controversial concept in the novel is that not everyone should be allowed to vote. In the place of universal suffrage Heinlein proposed the idea that the legal status of Citizen, who is a member of the sovereign class of the nation with the authority to vote, has to be earned.

Then as now there were people who clearly didn’t understand the concept of government. Then as now there were those who sought to exploit the ignorance of the mere voter in order to obtain political power. And worse to obtain power without restraint.  Heinlein had proposed the idea of earning the sovereign franchise as a filtering mechanism to prevent obvious fools--such as peace activists--from influencing government.

The idea of the restricted franchise is not new. In the Polis of Athens the franchise was restricted to property owning members of the tribe but there was no legal restraint on the state. As history had shown this led to dysfunctions such as legal murder of Socrates.

It was not enough to restrict the powers of government but to restrict who could actually participate in the process of governing.  In effect to idiot-proof the system.

So is it actually necessary to fully implement the system that Heinlein proposed?

The fact is that all forms of authority are based on knowledge and political authority is no exception.  But in the present system political authority is granted to any warm body without regard to their the actual state of knowledge. As a result some warm bodies have traded their votes for a material object such as an IPad or a wad of cash. Or worse they have traded their votes for the warm and fuzzy feeling of having been compassionate.

The result is out present state of our nation. Those who lack knowledge or simple concern for consequences should not have authority over another person, let alone the fate of a nation.

My solution to the problem is simply proper education in the obligations of citizenship.

The course would be similar to a driver education course as presently taught. The first part of the class covers The Constitution, the proper functions of each branch of government, the function of each clause and amendment, the duties of the citizen as a member of the sovereign authority of the nation, and what is expected to happen when the Federal Government enters the failure mode.

The second part of the course covers the function and use of the instrument of political authority, the personal weapon. This covers rifle marksmanship and maintenance. Also covered is the basic organization and tactics of the citizen militia unit.

While the citizenship course will not be mandatory, completion and a passing grade will be required to exercise the authority to vote. 

So Anyway

In a sane world Barrack Obama would be hanged for treason, Hillary Clinton would be in prison for numerous felonies, Bernie Sanders would be confined to a mental hospital with a lifetime supply of happy pills, and finally Donald Trump would be the presidential candidate of the Jackass Party.

This is a call for the act of mass murder.  The fact is that some adherents of what was politely called gun control are in fact the heirs of Adolf Hitler and the National Socialist German Workers Party.  As a result it has become very-very-very-easy to predict what an advocate of public disarmament will say.  All one has to do is take any mouth dropping of Reichsminister Paul Joseph Goebbels and substitute the words Gun Owner for the word Jew.

Yes, it’s that obvious.

After an earlier post where I condemned an advocate of public disarmament a British clergyman posted a response that denounced me for having an actual moral standard.

What is it like to not have a human soul?

What is like to be told that there is an evil that is orders of magnitude greater than the kidnapping and murder of one child, an evil that cannot be stopped by a locked door, an evil that can only be stopped by the exercise of deadly force against its perpetrators, and to declare that those who would act to defend themselves, their own families, and their own nation against such an evil are nothing more than vermin?

What is it like to declare that those who oppose the greater evil must be kidnapped and have their souls destroyed and every shred of conscience ripped away with drugs and electric torture?

I will say this right now--if this lot wants to renounce reason and act as National Socialists then let us treat them as such--hang them from the neck until dead.

 The obvious question is how can someone be tricked into betraying any moral value when they absolutely lack one?

The false prophet Mohammed commanded his followers to commit the acts of rape, robbery, and murder.  The doctrine of Islam commands enslavement and the systematic violation of the rights of man and to act as predatory animals.  Without question the doctrine and practice of Islam is absolutely depraved. 

Given that Human Life is the foundation of all valid moral values then Islam must be absolutely condemned.  But the signatories of this document condemn as immoral those who hold an actual moral standard.

I am hard pressed to respond to this utterly depraved document without the use of barracks language.  But I will say this, Vidkun Quisling was shot for his betrayal of the Norwegian people and we’re going to need an all night firing squad to deal with this bunch.

The Man Who Fell To Earth

Once upon a time ago before I read any work by Ayn Rand I saw The Man Who Fell To Earth starring David Bowie. I didn’t enjoy sitting through it and the one scene that stuck with me depicted a nihilist denouncing innovation. Having never read a word of real philosophy at the time I merely saw the character as being stupid.

After the recent death of Mr. Bowie a local film society held a showing of the film. I won’t claim the excuse of brain damage in deciding to see it. I had actually forgot how truly awful it was.

It wasn’t just the fact that the director was a no talent hack with delusions of cleverness.

Nor was it his insistence on using Manhattan skyscrapers as an anatomical reference along with inserting two pointless scenes that stop just short of actual pornography.

No.

Every second of the film was an expression of the hatred of human life and after only half an hour I walked out.

Remember the nihilist? When I originally saw the film I could not understand how any character could be so stupid. I now understand that in denouncing any improvement in the tools used by man he was denying the value of human life.

In a comment on The Underground Bunker, a site critical of Scientology, I compared the credibility of the CoS with the famous press organ of the Soviet State:

When the Soviet era edition of Pravda (Truth) reported that Yuri Gagarin had orbited the Earth aboard Vostok 1 it was a rare instance their publishing a fact. The CoS can't even do that.

Someone then asked a question:

And because the Soviet state enforced a falsehood it had to act in an adversarial fashion with respect to Humanity in General. Like the Church of Scientology the Soviet State must lie to everyone.

The continued fail of a cartoon character to perform a magic trick is funny.  The suffering that will be inflicted by the insane Senator Sanders and his followers is nothing short of appalling.  And most importantly it is absolutely preventable.

Atlas Shrugged and Starship Troopers were written as works of fiction.  But now they appear in some respects to works of nonfiction.

Of the two leading candidates of the insane party the first makes President Nixon look like an honest guy.  And the other makes Bulwinkle the Moose look like an intelligent being.

Unfortunately the lead candidate of the sane party is a pragmatic narcissistic demagogue, which is the last thing we need after the systematic malice of the Big Zero.

At this point I'm fully in favor of a military coup.
