Well, Hello Stormtrooper

Lazytart at Little Green Footballs posted a link to another story about despocratic brownshirt activity:

Two volunteers were reportedly injured. Ebony Garntond told police she was roughed up by volunteers with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.

The socialist gang known as ACORN made a mark for itself in the Twin Cities by physically occupying branch offices of local banks, and thus forcibly preventing anyone from doing business in that branch, in order to extort favors such as interest free loans or other forms of "donations" from the bank.

They call it "creative non-violence."

It's Alive!

Osama Bin Laden is still alive.

And if the image on the video shown on Al-Jazeera is any indication he is rather well dressed and living in reasonable comfort in his hiding place.

The Bin Laden family estate in Arabia perhaps?

Wishful Thinking

If the donks do riot on November 3rd then I want to have one of these:

The weapon, not the obviously underage girl.

Staring Us In The Face

The Big Trunk at the Powerline Blog has evidence of attempted vote fraud:

Among the well-funded and supposedly independent groups supporting John Kerry in the campaign is Americans Coming Together (ACT). ACT has taken notice of Minnesota's special vulnerabilty to vote fraud and organized a sophisticated effort to exploit it in a manner that violates Minnesota law. In Minnesota the Bush campaign has come into the possession of the following email from ACT to its Minnesota volunteers:

Election Day is upon us. You are confirmed to volunteer with ACT (America Coming Together - http://www.actforvictory.org/) on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov 2.

We will be creating name badges that include your Ward and Precinct information for each of the thousands of volunteers that day to make it easier to find a volunteer to vouch for a voter at the polls.

I am emailing you to request your street address, city and zipcode. We've already got your other contact information, but your record in our database does not include this information.

You can save us time on election day by replying today to this email with this information, or give us a call at [phone number with St. Paul area code].

In order to get your badge correct, please reply by Thursday.

Thank you for your help and cooperation. See you on Election Day!

The Republican Party of Minnesota has put out a press release on the subject:

"Either through ignorance, or by design, the DFL Party is asking people to risk committing a felony by misinforming them of Minnesota's precise election procedures," said [Republican Party of Minnesota State Chair Ron] Eibensteiner. "I am asking the DFL to make their intentions clear in this election, and answer whether they are planning a mass vouching program on Election Day." Eibensteiner also raised concerns about the massive army of 10,000 lawyers that Democrats and the Kerry Campaign are sending to battleground states, including Minnesota. The Democrats' efforts in Minnesota stand in sharp contrast to Republican's homegrown efforts. Republican voter turnout efforts are staffed overwhelmingly by volunteers, and the vast majority of our poll watchers are Minnesotans -- as of right now more than 99 percent. And most will not be attorneys.

Would somebody please tell me what the difference is between the Democratic Party and a criminal gang is?

Thursday, October 28, 2004

Okay, Mr. President...

President Bush shows us how to do "the one fingered victory salute."

In five days we all get to do it to John Effing Kerry and the Despocratic Party.

Oh, somebody played a recording of Walter Mondale telling the usual despocrat lies on my answering machine.

Fuck you, Walter.

I'm Not Looking Backwards To This

Ed Wood's long lost final film found:

NEW YORK (Reuters) -- Considered the worst filmmaker of all time, Ed Wood won a cult following after his death and now fans can see his long-lost last film "Necromania," a work some say shows he was so bad that he was brilliant.

But it's not for the faint-hearted. The 1971 movie is a porn film documenting the sexual enlightenment of a young couple at the hands of a coven of witches.

Yes, but porn is like, you know, so boring...

So What Else Is New?

A Democrat tried to run over a Republican member of the House of Representatives:

OCTOBER 27--A Florida man has been charged with attempting to run over controversial Republican congresswoman Katherine Harris with his Cadillac. According to the below Sarasota Police Department report, Barry Seltzer, 46, told cops that he was simply exercising his "political expression" when he drove his car at Harris and several supporters, who were campaigning last night at a Sarasota intersection. Seltzer--pictured at right in a booking photo--allegedly drove up on a sidewalk and headed directly for Harris before swerving "at the last minute." Harris told officers that "she was afraid for her life and could not move as the vehicle approached her," according to the report. For his part, Seltzer--who's a registered Democrat--told cops, "I intimidated them with the car. They were standing in the street." He added, "I did not run them down, I scared them a little!" That explanation did not stop investigators from arresting Seltzer for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a felony. Harris, Florida's former secretary of state, is best known for her role in the aftermath of the state's disastrous 2000 presidential election.

Must go to range this week...

Election Fraud Update

Bill Hobbs has linked to another blogger's story of Democrat shenanigans:

In the last three or four days, my residence has received a half dozen calls from the Clark County "Kerry" Campaign.

My caller ID reads: "OHIO VICTORY 937-323-5158". I'm posting that in it's entirety so that if any web crawler comes across it, they'll get slammed by unsolicited phone calls. Anyhow, every time I answer the person on the other line asks for someone who doesn't live at my residence. It's been a different name every time. Interesting isn't it? Could this be another sign that someone has registered "people" to vote using false information? If so that's at least a half dozen voters with my phone number. I know for certain that they don't have old residents of this house, since it has been in my family for many years with no one by those names.

Mr. Hobbs has other posts on the subject of vote fraud here and here.

If I recall correctly, one of Luttwak's rules for carrying out a coup d'etat is to keep the preparations a secret.

Otherwise the potential victims will be able to pre-emptively prepare to fight back or even identify and take out the plotters.

So Anyway

I truly envy Mr. Lileks ability to mock the surreal elements of modern society:

I’m standing in the middle of the used CD store the other day. The clerk is playing “Yes,” a band whose name I always preferred to answer in the negative. “Roundabout” comes on. Haven’t heard this one in years, actually. Jon Anderson sings the famous line: “In around the lake / Mountains come out of the sky and they stand there.” As opposed to what? Doing the fargin' Macarena? Standing there is pretty much the job description for mountains.

So What Else Is New?

Mrs. Ambulance Chaser has said in an interview that there will be no riots if her husband and Comrade Botox wins the presidential election.

Well, duh!

Republicans never riot.

(What? Oh...yeah...)

Okay, there was that really big riot where we burned down most of the southern states back in the early 1860's. They didn't really get over that one until the Reagan Administration...

The Tear In The Social Fabric

Varifrank writes about the cultural gulf between the rich and everyone else:

I've noted before that I never met an actual communist while I worked in a factory, but I did meet lots of them when I was at school. I also never found a communist or someone who believed in communism who actually had a job. What's worse, those who constantly lectured me on the values of communism were always the ones who sneered at the janitor, or gave the waitresses a hard time and left no tips. I learned a lot about the left while I was in college, although I'm sure it was not the lesson they hoped to teach me.

No kidding.

People with Kerry signs in their windows and yards are generally not good tippers if they tip at all. And union members are the worst offenders in the respect.

I once had a liberal (the Martin Luther King, Jr. tee-shirt was a dead giveaway) to whom I delivered a pizza who had me wait outside in the cold and intensely pouring rain while he slowly counted out the exact amount of the transaction and not one penny more.

Varifrank also had this to say:

I believe it is this concept of obligation over self fulfillment that serves as the precise point of rupture in our culture.

But there is also a certain bunch of rather odd people who treat the fulfillment of obligations as a form of self-fulfillment. (I used to be one of them.) And then there is the Marine Corps.

This sums it up...

Rant for the Day

A marxist fishwrap in the United Kingdom has called for the assassination of President Bush (too many sources to properly credit, leaving the hat completely off this time):

On November 2, the entire civilised world will be praying, praying Bush loses. And Sod's law dictates he'll probably win, thereby disproving the existence of God once and for all. The world will endure four more years of idiocy, arrogance and unwarranted bloodshed, with no benevolent deity to watch over and save us. John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinckley Jr - where are you now that we need you?

In the marxist lexicon civilization consists of states that treat human beings as hominid livestock and which run up bodycounts in the millions. At last count the death toll due to the various attempts to practice what Marx preached runs from 100 million to 170 million and is still rising to places such as Cuba, China, and North Korea.

In the marxist lexicon arrogance consists of the moral certainty that each person has the inalienable rights of Life, Liberty, and Property, and such rights must be defended by deadly force either by the individual or collectively through the institution of government.

In the marxist lexicon unwarranted bloodshed consists of the act of shooting back at and ultimately hunting down and killing those willfully inhuman creatures who, in accordance to the ravings of false prophets such as Mohammed and Marx, seek to forcibly enslave and murder human beings.

In the marxist lexicon idiocy consists of looking at the world through one's own eyes, thinking for one's self, and refusing to believe the immense load of ideological excrement left by Marx, Engels, and their intellectual heirs. (Yes, I know, calling them intellectuals is a contradiction)

In effect in the marxist lexicon reality is unreal.

In short Charlie Brooker and his fellow marxoids are an example of the kind of people that George Orwell spent his last dying breath to warn us about.

Marxists in general have apparently mastered the practice of doublethink, the treatment of concepts as opposite of their true meaning.

The doublethinker worships despots such as Fidel Castro and the father-son team of the Kims as liberators and saviors while the United States and it's allies, the true liberators of Afganistan and Iraq, are treated as conquerors and murderers.

The doublethinker treats literally bloody handed murderers like Saddam Hussein and his virually demonic sons Uday and Qusay as innocent victims while willfully ignoring the mass graves of hundreds of thousands of helpless men, women, and children found in Iraq.

The doublethinker treats the society of contract and consent, for which Marx invented the perjoritive term CAPITALISM, as a slave system while SOCIALISM, which in practice requires compulsion, slave labor, and the outright murder of those who resist, is called true liberation.

The doublethinker treats the acts of robbery and murder as just while the act of self defense is punished as the foulest of crimes.

Ultimately the doublethinker treats the United States of America, the greatest and most morally advanced nation on Earth, as vilest of evils, fit only for destruction.

As an individual the doublethinker is merely insane, as a political activist the doublethinker is a mortal hazard to individual persons and to Mankind in General.

If President Bush was murdered by the Marxists or their Islamist allies the result would not be, as Comrade Brooker imagines it, the ascendance of the Marxist elite, but instead it would be the initiation of the long overdue extermination of the followers of Karl Marx.

Hell, skip the assassination, let's start now.

More Barbarism

In Flagstaff, Arizona (hat tip Blogs for Bush):

Political motivations turned criminal Thursday night or early Friday when vandals smashed a large glass door with a section of cinder block at the Republican Party headquarters in downtown Flagstaff.

A pile of shattered glass joined egg shells filling the entryway to the GOP offices, located on Humphreys Street across from Wheeler Park. Fliers with information criticizing President Bush were staked up outside the door.

Need to go to range to check the sights on my Chinese semi-auto AKM.

Error spells trouble on city ballots.

LEOMINSTER - The city must dispose of almost 3,000 ballots for the upcoming election because state officials misspelled Leominster.

The Sentinel & Enterprise discovered the spelling mistake Thursday, four days after the ballots arrived in City Hall from the State Elections Division

About 2,700 ballots, which are now spelled "Leominister," will be reprinted today, according to Brian McNiff, a spokesman for the Secretary of State's Office.

Bad News

Former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura has endorsed absentee Senator John Kerry for president.

No, I did not vote for Jesse.

Voting Age Lowered In New Mexico

More voter registration fraud (hat tip John Ray at Dissecting Leftism):

In New Mexico, Albuquerque police officer Glen Stout became concerned when his 13-year old son received a voter registration card—as did one of his son's 15-year old friends. What that means is that Stout's son and the 15-year old neighbor are legally entitled to vote in the State of New Mexico without the fear of being challenged since a law pushed through that State's Democratically-controlled legislature and signed into law by Democratic Gov. Bill Richardson earlier this year prevents precinct workers at any of New Mexico's polls from asking for any form of identification from any voter, or asking their age—even if fraud is obvious.

Shattered Window

Lakeville, Minnesota, September 23, 2004 (Via When Angry Democrats Attack):

In the words of the family whose car was vandalized:

My wife and I are former Democrats. Until the 1998 election, we rarely voted for someone other than a Democrat. Since then, we have rarely voted for a Democrat and it is almost always for a Republican.

We have never been much for political yard signs or bumper stickers, but this year, when we were at the State Fair, we decided to buy Bush/Cheney bumper stickers for our cars.

I needed to leave my car outside, but in the driveway, overnight on the night of September 23, 2004. When I left for work on the morning of the 24th, I sure was surprised at what I found! (See attached photo.)

The hole was much smaller when I first discovered it. It grew in size as a result of shutting the car door. Lakeville Police think it was shot out, most likely with a BB gun. (Rather ironic when the Democrats are a party of non-violence!) I did file a police report and can provide the case number if you wish to verify my photo/story. The police officer said sign vandalism in this area is happening about 6:1 against people who support Bush/Cheney.

This Qualifies As Surreal

The Navy tests new uniforms:

Like this:

And this:

Why?

Because:

Navy officials are considering replacing the working khaki's for chiefs and officers, the coveralls, and the standard blue shirt/blue pants ensemble with one uniform for everyone.

The new kind of camouflage is not really meant to keep sailors from being seen, but is more to keep stains from standing out.

And what else do Navy officials believe:

Officials believe they've found a uniform that can be thrown in the washer and worn, one that lasts longer, and one that screams "Navy."

I would say that it screams Marine-wanna-be.

But then I'm just an ex-army guy.

Speaking of Fraud

Women in South Africa married without their knowledge:

CAPE TOWN, South Africa (AP) - Fatima and Zain have been dating for a year and often joke about marriage, but it was no laughing matter when the Department of Home Affairs told the couple something truly astounding: Fatima had already been married for two years, to a man she had never met.

Fatima, 28, is one of some 3,400 people who in the last three years have been married without their knowledge in scams that involve corrupt government officials and foreigners seeking permanent residency.

(Les shakes head...)

Three Items

During my workday yesterday (pizza delivery) I saw someone mounting two of the supersize Bush-Cheney signs to their house at the second floor level. I won't name the location of the house nor shall I speculate as to how the nihilist-barbarians would attempt to vandalize the house.

Also, Dr. Michael Hurd, who is an Objectivist and thus a critic of President Bush, has endorsed a candidate in the presidential election:

President Bush is a flawed candidate representing the right of America to defend itself, pre-emptively if necessary, against dangerous enemies. John Kerry, if elected, will stand for outright appeasement and pacifism. He says that he will defend us if we are attacked, but (1) there is absolutely nothing in his voting record to suggest this would ever be the case (note his vote against the first Gulf War and every major weapons system proposed during the Cold War, etc.); and (2) his promise defies the fact that we have already been attacked and will be attacked again if we don't continue to take action against our known enemies. How are we supposed to believe that John Kerry will retaliate when we are next attacked when he won't properly defend us after the first attack?

We don't have the luxury of sitting around and waiting for the perfect President to come along. These times are too dangerous. Given a choice between a President who will use force to defend us and a President who will not do so, there's no question about whom to select.

The MN-GOP site has linked to a story about a leftist-activist who is being prosecuted for not turning in more than 300 completed voter registration cards.

An activist? I wouldn't think so.

Double-Plus Duh!

Voter registration fraud in Colorado (hat tip Res Publica 2004):

Election hijinks are getting spookier as Halloween draws near.

A temporary worker at the Denver Election Commission was entering information on new voters into a computer Friday when one registration form leaped out at her.

Her own name appeared on the form with a correct address and a fabricated Social Security number.

"That was the strangest," said Bill Brennan, voter registration coordinator for Denver.

There was also one form Friday that resurrected Chicago-style politics. A dead person was registering to vote.

Election workers cross-reference voter registration information with vital records such as death certificates, and this particular "Joe" had been flagged as a "death delete" file.

Don't worry. In Denver, you can't vote from the grave. The new registration was found invalid and forwarded to the Denver district attorney's office for investigation of possible fraud.

What I'm afraid of at the moment is that I will go into the polling site and that I'll be told that I already voted by absentee ballot.

Which would be the only way I would ever cast a ballot for JFnK.

And Now For Something Completely Different

The Spam Museum of Austin, Minnesota:

Asked what visitors' usual reaction to the place is, Radford said, "When they first come in, almost everyone is talking about how they can't believe they are actually visiting a Spam museum. They're wondering why they are even here. Most people wouldn't come if admission to the museum wasn't free.

"But when they leave, people are almost always talking about how much fun they had and a lot of them are singing the Monty Python Spam song."

And I used to think the the NASA Museum in Huntsville< Alabama was cool.

Somebody Is Seeing The Fnords

York County victory center vandalized for the fifth time (hat tip Blogs for Bush):

Cleanup will soon be under way at the Bush-Cheney Victory Center in York County for the fifth time this election season.

Vandals spray painted anti-Bush messages and "Vote Kerry" on the building and on the rented sign out front Wednesday night.

They also stole the letters from the sign out front which had been advertising a veterans event for this weekend.

"I just don't understand the mentality we're dealing with here. I mean, what are they proving? Because it's really, it's degrading to the other party to have this kind of vandalism going on," said Darwin Doll, headquarters coordinator.

The vandals hit other businesses and a barn along Route 74 just outside of Dallastown Wednesday night.

Doll said the Victory Center will now be equipped with security cameras.

In Wilson and Shea's novel ILLUMINATUS! the number FIVE [fnord] has a psychomystical (their term) significance in that important events are linked to the number FIVE [fnord] in some fashion. No doubt the perpetrators of this vandalism are high fiving [fnord] themselves at this very minute. [fnord]

Question

I'm wondering why I haven't seen anything like this on any cars:

I know, I need more practice with Photoshop.

Dealing With The Problem...

...in a most American way.

Minnesota Democrat Exposer posts a letter and photo sent to him by a victim of the sign vandals:

"For the past ten days, I had a large 8x4 ft Bush sign in my backyard. During that time, it was spray painted three times and almost stolen, but we caught them in the act. Finally, on Wednesday it was stolen in the middle of the night...these people are attacking our most fundamental right as Americans, freedom of speech. Rather than put up a new Bush sign, I felt the need to put my own sign up to send these people a message." Source: Email sent to MDE

Those of us who live in the American culture of initiative and consent will always deal with our problems with the resources at hand. We will not submit to the will of those who, in acting out their ideological or theological fantasies, are attempting to impose a culture of compulsion and obediance upon us.

Give us Liberty or eat shit and die you marxist motherf**kers!

Brownshirts In The Night

Bush's campaign office in Spokane burglarized (hat tip Res Publica 2004):

Offices that house President Bush's re-election campaign in Spokane were broken into and vandalized last night, the latest in a string of crimes at Republican offices across the country.

Workers arriving this morning found a hole smashed through the wall from an adjacent, vacant office. Bush campaign officials say a small amount of petty cash is missing and a computer and television had been moved and left near the hole.

"They must have gotten spooked because they ultimately left the computer and TV," said Bill Hyslop, the campaign's chairman for the Fifth Congressional District.

The computer and the TV had recently arrived in Spokane and the computer was loaded with information from the Republican get-out-the vote program.

Do I have to ask what else is new?

On Cheating

Opinion Journal on the ongoing Despocratic thuggery and other preparations to steal the election (hat tip Ipse Dixit):

California Assemblywoman Bonnie Garcia, a Republican, says she has found 3,000 new duplicate registrations in her district. "The current process today is really Third World conditions," she told CNN's Lou Dobbs program. When asked what she thinks about Democratic charges that her calls for investigations into the duplicate registrations will scare voters away from the polls, she refuses to back down. "You're damn right, I'm going to try to scare away the crooks."

The distinction between the Democratic Party and a criminal gang is dissolving rapidly if it isn't gone already.

There has to be a day of reckoning. We must take the actions necessary to ensure that this band of domestic enemies is no longer in a position to harm us ever again.

The Puppetmaster of the Left...

The man who controls the cash flow controls the extremist liberal left.
Some, ahem, money quotes:
Soros has been neck-deep in Democrat intrigue since at least 1994. Three weeks after Republicans swept Congress in the mid-term elections that year, Soros dtated in a November 30, 1994 speech that he wished to "do something about… the distortion of our electoral process by the excessive use of TV advertising." [2] Evidently, Soros realized that the most efficient way to control political advertising would be to control the flow of "soft money" earmarked for the political parties. Within eight months of Soros’ speech, Democrat Senator Russ Feingold obligingly rose on the Senate floor to denounce soft money abuses, thus setting in motion the political steamroller that would ultimately flatten all opposition and give us the McCain-Feingold Act of March 27, 2002.

Few Americans realize that it was George Soros who bankrolled the seven-year lobbying effort without which McCain-Feingold never would have seen the light of day. As a Wall Street Journal editorial noted, "Combine… the $1.7 million that Mr. Soros gave the Center for Public Integrity, the $1.3 million he gave Public Campaign, the $300,000 to Democracy 21, the $625,000 to Common Cause, and the $275,000 to Public Citizen – and you can be forgiven for believing Mr.
Soros got campaign finance passed all by himself."
...
By pushing McCain-Feingold through Congress, Soros cut off the Democrats’ soft-money supply. By forming the Shadow Party, Soros offered the Democrats an alternate money spigot – one which he personally controlled. As a result the Democrats are heavily – perhaps even irretrievably – dependent on Soros. It seems reasonable to consider the possibility that McCain-Feingold, from its very inception, was a Soros power play to gain control of the Democratic Party.
...
Jonathan [son of George Soros] Soros is a MoveOn.org activist, a financial sponsor of MoveOn, and a contributor to other Shadow Party groups as well. His brother Robert is focusing, for the time being, on state-level politics. Robert and his wife Melissa gave $100,000 to the New York State Democratic Campaign Committee in 2004.

Thought for the Day

Being a victim is not in itself a sign of virtue on the part of a person or a group.

Trotsky himself was no slacker when it came to mass subjugation and murder and remained a committed commmunist to the end. His death at the hands of Stalin's goons did not suddenly and automatically convert him into a martyr for the cause of civilization.

Brownshirts In The Morning

Yehudit at Little Green Footballs posted the link to this story about brownshirt action in Florida:

The Escambia County Republican Party would not normally be considered a high-risk tenant.

But in this bitter campaign season, politics can be risky business.

Between 7 and 9:30 a.m. Saturday, one or more vandals threw rocks at the Republicans' county headquarters on Creighton Road, breaking the outer panes of three large plate-glass windows, said Alan Levy, a member of the party's executive committee.

Last week, the landlord replaced two similar windows, which were broken at the front of the building shortly before the office officially opened Oct. 2, Levy said.

"This is not the way we do politics in this country," he said. "It's ridiculous. It's absurd. It wasn't like this four years ago."

The Donks are losing and they know it.

But then given their ideology and behavior they deserve to lose.

Looking Forward

I caught Trey Parker and Matt Stone on the Dennis Miller show talking about the sex and violence in their new film TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICE:

"Janeane Garafalo gets her head blown clean off."

Obviously a must-see movie.

Another Donk Swarm

In Dearborn, Michigan (hat tip to Heartless Libertarian):

Also Tuesday, a mob of up to 100 people stormed into a Republican campaign office in Dearborn, disrupting volunteer GOP workers until police quelled the disturbance.

Yvette Robinson, 28, director of the Dearborn Victory Center, said the intruders numbered 200 and arrived in three large buses plus cars. She said they swarmed into the building, surprising the campaign workers. Robinson said they chanted anti-Bush slogans and other chants, such as "Give us back our overtime."

Paolino said Republican campaign offices in several other states were similarly disrupted.

OH, we're really impressed with their commitment, NOT!!!

Another Brownshirt Alert

From a MNGOP press release (in PDF format) I found at the When Angry Democrats Attack site (hat tip Michelle Malkin):

On the same day that someone fired shots into the windows at the Bush/Cheney campaign headquarter in Knoxville, Tennessee, angry Kerry supporters laid siege to the Bush headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota today ... Kerry supporters blocked the entrance to the Bush campaign's Minnesota headquarters with buses and proceeded to rush into headquarters n a clear attempt to intimidate voters who were picking up tickets to see the President this Saturday.

I think I'm going to start checking the other state party websites for other incident reports.

Update at 0950 CDT:

Here's the MN-GOP site's HTML version.

Brownshirt Alert

More Despocratic thuggery (hat tip: Instapundit):

(MILWAUKEE) – More than 50 demonstrators supporting Democrat presidential candidate John Kerry stormed a Republican campaign office in West Allis at mid-day today, trespassing, creating a disturbance through the use of a bullhorn in the office and then refusing to leave when asked.

Okay Democrats, let's count how many times your people and their property have been attacked by GOP goons.

How Pythonic

From FARK.COM comes a link to a story about a woman who sold rocks during a riot:

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. (AP) - A woman who police say sold stones to rioters in a southwest Michigan city last year and used the money to pay her cable television bill has pleaded no contest to inciting a riot.

Yuolanda Taylor, 32, entered the plea Monday. A no contest plea is not an admission of guilt but is treated as such for sentencing purposes. She is free on bail, but faces up to 10 years in prison at her sentencing Nov. 15.

The city of Benton Harbor was devastated by two nights of rioting last June sparked by the death of a black motorcyclist during a high-speed police chase. Twenty-one houses, many vacant, were destroyed.

Police said Taylor toted rocks through a riot-wracked neighborhood, selling small ones for $1 each and bigger ones for $5. Prosecutors said the rocks were thrown at police.

Taylor told police she collected about $70 selling rocks, but quit when she got hit by one herself.

Oh, the poor baby, ouuuuuuuuuh!

I'd like to say "so what else is new" but to the best of my knowledge this is new.

Deep Thought

Frustration is driving by a liberal moonbat who is giving away Kerry/Edwards bumper stickers and signs and not be able to flip the bird to said induhvidual because you are in your work uniform and your pickup truck is carrying the pizza delivery sign on its roof.

More Cheating?

Hundredpercenter (hat tip to Hobbsonline) has obtained a copy of the Michigan absentee ballot.

Here's the image.

So what else is new?

Deep Thought

I know it will never happen but I wouldn't mind at all if Vice-President Cheney said something like this during tomorrow night's debate:

"Of course I'm to the right of Ghengis Khan, he was a f[BLEEP]ing barbarian."

We now return you to your regularly scheduled reality.

Vote Early and Vote Often

Rob Golub of the Journal Times writes about the voter regisration mess in Wisconsin (hat tip Rightnation):

RACINE - Prosecutors and sheriff's deputies are reviewing suspicious voter registration forms turned in by a group called Project Vote, and the city of Racine has banned the four registrars allegedly responsible for the forms from turning in any more.

City officials have been overwhelmed with thousands of new voter registration forms in recent weeks, and they have determined that some of the forms are suspicious. Separate inquiries conducted by city employees and The Journal Times have uncovered voter registration forms that appear to have been filled out and supposedly signed by voters without the voters' knowledge.

So what else is new?

We need to adopt a cheat-resistant voting system in our republic. Recountable paper ballots and a counterfeit resistant photographic voter identification card.

The future of Mankind can not be sacrificed on the altar of marxist powerlust.

CHEATER!!!!!!

The Honorable John Forbes Kerry has apparently brought some notes to podium in violation of the agreed upon debate rules.

This site has the video captures of Kerry taking something out of a pocket.

So what else is new?

Taking It Personally

Author Edward Cline on how we should treat the Islamic assault on civilization:

Basayev said in 1995 to reporters of the Moscow Times, after a Beslan-like raid on Budennovsk, where he ordered his hostages doused with gasoline: “I thought, what difference is there, whatever means I use, if they are Russian, they are jackals. My people are more important to me than these Russian children and women.” There is your quintessential nihilist speaking. There is no difference, except that his victims must be civilized Westerners. His “people”? If Saudi Arabia and Iran are any measure of how he plans to govern them, rank-and-file Chechens will be treated as animals, as fodder for the glory of Allah.

This explains why schoolgirls and women teachers at Beslan could be raped, then shot in the head afterward by Basayev’s thugs, to express the efficacy of evil and the painful pointlessness of existence, and to erase whatever joy of existence may have moved the lives they ended. “I hate my existence. Why should you enjoy yours? If I suffer, it’s your fault. Now it’s your turn.” That is nihilism, disguised in political/religious garb. It is transparently evil. It explains the random, indiscriminate brutalization and killing of hostages at Beslan, then their wholesale slaughter with bombs, bullets and grenades when the crisis reached its apex.

It explains why planeloads of people can be blown out of the sky, or used as missiles to destroy the symbols of Western civilization, in the name of Allah. And why busloads of schoolchildren, workers, and housewives can be blown to pieces by Palestinian suicide bombers, or shredded by glass, nails, and ball bearings in pizza parlors and at weddings.

Every Westerner -- every American, especially -- should regard every such assault personally, as a personal attack on himself, and demand that our leaders fight this enemy ruthlessly, with no mercy, concession, or compromise granted to these new barbarians. It should be a moral crusade against a determined human carnivore. Ancient Rome thought it could bargain with Attila and Alaric. And that was the end of Rome.

Voter Surplus

Techievampire has linked to this story about the Ohio voter surplus:

After nine months of intense voter-registration efforts focused on Franklin County, the number of people signed up to cast ballots in the Nov. 2 election has surpassed U.S. Census estimates of those eligible.

There are about 815,000 Franklin County residents older than 18, according to the most recent census estimates, for 2003. As of yesterday, Franklin County Board of Elections officials counted more than 817,000 registered voters, and forms are still coming in at the rate of 8,000 per day as Monday’s registration deadline approaches.

Although voter-registration numbers in some Ohio counties have reached 90 percent or more of population estimates, surpassing the number is highly unusual.

One county official in Ohio called the Franklin County figures "bizarre."

One state official called them troubling.

Franklin County election officials called them easily explainable.

"It’s not a cause for alarm," said Board of Elections Director Matthew Damschroder. "It’s not an indication of fraud."

I'll bet real money that Mr. Damschroder is a Democrat.

Bring Out Your Dead!

Still online for now.

From the Democratic People's Republic of Madison, Wisconsin comes this tale of devotion after death:

While, traditionally, yard signs are ways to support a candidate, in Jane Buffet's obit, her final statement reads, "To honor her memory, please do everything you can to elect John Kerry."

"Her vote couldn't count any more, but this was the best way we knew to make her voice heard," John said.

Actually, in any area under the political control of the Donks the dead actually do cast votes that count. This dim bitch actually exercised a choice in the matter.

Someone who wasn't fully up to speed on this phenomena left an anonymous message:

"It's too bad she won't be able to vote for Kerry, and hopefully on the day that Bush gets elected she'll burn in hell!"

I would not be surprised if the special circle in Hell for traitors started to get a bit crowded.

(But Les, you're an atheist. Shhhhhh!)

I will be going offline tonight due to owner of net server moving out of the building that I live in.

I should be back online with a new service early next week.

Bring Out Your Dead!

Bill Hobbes has linked to a Cleveland Plain-Dealer story about a dead man registering to vote.

So what else is new?

Given what I'm reading lately I wouldn't be surprised if I'm told at the polling place on election day that I've already voted with an absentee ballot.

Nor would I be surprised if that so-called vote was for the straight Despocratic ticket.

I would certainly be pissed-off, but not surprised.

The Doctor Is In!

Dr. Michael Hurd on the first debate:

Do you see the difference between the two candidates? One, President Bush, blames weapons of mass destruction for evil in the world when they are in the hands of terrorists. The other, John Kerry, says that the weapons are just as much a danger in the hands of Americans as they are when in the possession of terrorist states, and that the U.S. has no right to develop them in the interest of self-defense.

Kerry does not believe that Americans have a right to defend themselves, either as individuals with personal firearms, or collectively as a nation with modern armed forces including nuclear weapons.

Kerry has effectively fragged himself.

In Another Metaphor

To use another metaphor, I think most of us (myself included) were really expecting something akin to a cinematic version of a old west gunfight, two lone men openly standing in the street, they draw and fire, and one drops to the ground.

Whereas the first debate was closer to a real firefight as it was practiced then (and now for that matter), the opponents take careful aim from behind solid cover and fire at each other until one of them drops.

As I said earlier, Kerry fragged himself, he just hasn't fallen to the ground yet.

Speaking on the Subject

One of the things Matt Margolis at Blogs for Bush said about Kerry's performance was:

Kerry sought to answer questions he was not asked, avoiding saying anything substantive about his plan for Iraq and trying to suggest that funding at home has suffered...

Changing the subject is a standard tactic that is taught at Toastmasters.

For those of you who are not familiar with Toastmasters International, it is a group that teaches the techniques of public speaking, which in practice means teaching dull and boring people to be even more tedious, dull, and boring. How do I know this? Well, my participation in Toastmasters was strongly recommended by the Chairman and the Treasurer of the Libertarian Party of Minnesota during my brief involvment with them about fifteen years ago.

To make a long story short (too late), I was called upon to speak for two minutes on a subject that I knew nothing about. The usual technique for dealing with this situation was to either change the subject or make up something to say.

This to me was the height of rudeness. Instead I stood up and said this:

Mr. President, fellow Toastmasters, and honored guest, I have absolutely nothing to say on this subject. Thank you.

And then I sat down.

The Chairman and the Treasurer of the LP-MN continued to pester me about attending Toastmasters until I found and ran off copies of a short story, in STARLOG magazine of all places, that mocked the organization.

Never heard a word from either of them on the subject after that.

Failing The Test

Cox and Forkum on Kerry's global test:

Being a sovereign nation means never having to ask permission to defend ourselves.

A Mental Image

There has been some complaints and speculation (from our favorite false god and our lizardroid masters to name two examples) as to why President Bush didn't deliver the coup d'grace to Senator Kerry in the first debate.

Why should he? We all have brains here. Any intellectually honest person who actually thinks about what Senator Kerry said during the debate can see that he has clearly demonstrated that he on unfit for any and all forms of public office. President Bush knows damned well that we can see that and will reach that conclusion for ourselves.

I think that a lot of us (myself included) were expecting something analogous to Dirty Harry Callahan plugging a serial killer with one round from his .44 Magnum revolver. What are witnessing instead is the spectacle of a rear echelon poseur who has just accidentally pulled the pin from his improperly secured grenade.

Even though the grenade hasn't detonated yet, we know that Kerry has just fragged himself.
