Thought For The Day

There's atheism and then there's Atheism.

Mere atheism is simply disbelief in the divine and as such is not a holy cause to which all other actions are subordinated, nor is it a affirmative virtue which cancels out all other personal faults. Whereas Atheism with the big "A" takes what is otherwise a simple philosophical position and blows it up into an illusion of positive virtue.

Atheism with a big "A" allows dull and ordinary people to feel and pose as if they were somehow superior to the mass of humanity. Atheism with a big "A" also provides reactionary garbage such as the Marxists a means to pose as some kind of progressive vanguard when in fact they are simply putting a philosophical polish on the neolithic practice of beating up and killing people and taking their stuff.

As a mere atheist all I have to say to the big "A" professional Athiests is, "go home, grow up, and get a life!"

Um...

I keep thinking that the thirty year old movie ZARDOZ would be a neat metaphor for certain aspects of the present political and cultural situation.

Two Requests

Under no circumstances do I want the American Atheist symbol on my headstone and I want the following read at my funeral:

Insofar as I may be heard by anything, which may or may not care what I say, I ask, if it matters, that you be forgiven for anything you may have done or failed to do which requires forgiveness. Conversely, if not forgiveness but something else may be required to insure any possible benefit for which you may be eligible after the destruction of your body, I ask that this, whatever it may be, be granted or withheld, as the case may be, in such a manner as to insure your receiving said benefit. I ask this in my capacity as your elected intermediary between yourself and that which may not be yourself, but which may have an interest in the matter of your receiving as much as it is possible for you to receive of this thing, and which may in some way be influenced by this ceremony. Amen.
The Agnostics Prayer by Roger Zelazny from Creatures of Light and Darkness in 1969.

Punishing a man for an act he didn't commit is unjust.  Imprisoning a man for speaking the truth is tyrannical.  Disarming the citizens, who're the sovereign authority of the nation, is treason.  To say anything more would require the extensive use of barracks language.

Birthday

Someone was born in a barn.

 So what's Christmas?

It's commonly held to be the celebration of a birth.

But there’s something more to Christmas and it's the idea that God would come to us as a person to speak to us as people.  No priests as intermediaries or a light show miracle--just a conversation on a personal basis.

Some Christians don’t understand this.

Something I Wrote For The Resister

DIANA: Mangled Soul, Mangled Body

Everyone Dies, not everyone learns how to live.
The late Princess Diana didn't really seek her own destruction, she wanted very much to live and be a good person.  She sought happiness in her life, but didn't know what a human life really was.  She desperately required moral knowledge, what life was and how to live it.  What she was taught as a child was close to pure poison.
Her parents sent Diana to a boarding school, the Church of England's equivalent of a Dewey camp.  Here she was pounded with the doctrines that selflessness was the moral ideal, that sacrifice and obedience were virtues, that independent judgement was evil, and that her mind was impotent to deal with material existence.  Her mind thus mangled, she was sent out to live a mangled life.
Diana sacrificed fifteen years of her life to a sniveling piece of hominid debris and sacrificed her children to a barbaric tradition.  She sought guidance from psychics and astrologers and sacrificed her dignity campaigning for various "child hugger" groups.  Finally, she sacrificed her physical existence to the whims of a third world savage.
All Diana had to do to avoid the aforementioned horrors was simply to say: "No, this is wrong, I won't do it."  To do so requires a valid knowledge of moral standards, and for her to know that she was right to exercise moral judgement.  It is not enough to know that there is an alternative to a particular course of action, one must know that the alternative is morally correct.

The Imperial Japanese Navy made a serious mistake on this day in 1941.

If the present staff of the New York Times were  on duty on the Infamous Day they would denounce the United States Navy and Army Air Force for racist violence against the Imperial Japanese Navy.

Opinions

Whenever I hear news of the impeachment of President Trump I feel like a Jew hiding in Nazi Germany.

Part of the job of being a supporter of a president is being a critic, live with it.

Bad people NEVER think of themselves as being bad people.  (Such as the idiot next door, and the building management refuses to do anything.)

Evil people have their supporters.

To say that Bernie Sanders is an idiot is putting it mildly.

To Democrats the fundamental value is power.  Freedom is the negation of power and therefore must be opposed.  Or at least in public Freedom mustn't be supported lest the victims come to understand their actual position within the socialist order.  Democrats wouldn't be caught dead standing up for an actual Human value.

One of the things that's really bothering me is that it appears that we're living out the opening chapters of Atlas Shrugged as well as the Civilization Collapse part of the back story of Starship Troopers.

Atlas Shrugged was written by Ayn Rand as a warning, not an instruction manual.

Barrack Obama is clearly an Enemy of Mankind, he should be treated as such.

Antisemitism is the political equivalent of a canary in the coal mine.  I can't say this enough.

And of course not everyone who votes for a state of tyranny, particularly if they've been bribed into it, is going to put their lives on the line for it. Right?

To advocate Gun Control is to advocate genocide.

The Yahweh character in the Old Testament makes Charlie Manson look like a nice guy.  (Don't get me started on Allah.)

It's good to want to be a nice guy, but unfortunately one has to be nasty.

Reality as such isn't a safe space.  Reality's a place of unlimited wonders but only if you're willing to face them as an adult.

Whenever I hear a Democrat or one of their commercials I feel like a Jew in National Socialist Germany.

Anniversary

On this day twenty four years ago Lisa McPherson, a devoted member of the Church of Scientology, died under the most appalling of circumstances.  All I can say that there's absolutely no excuse for what was done to her, none.

Think of it as religion in action.

Thought For The Day

Marxists in general have apparently mastered the practice of double think, the treatment of concepts as opposite of their true meaning.  The doublethinker worships despots as liberators and saviors while the true liberators are treated as conquerors and murderers. The doublethinker treats literally bloody handed murderers as innocent victims while willfully ignoring the mass graves of hundreds of thousands of helpless men, women, and children.

The doublethinker treats the society of contract and consent, for which Marx invented the pejorative term CAPITALISM, as a slave system while SOCIALISM, which in practice requires compulsion, slave labor, and the outright murder of those who resist, is called true liberation.

The doublethinker treats the acts of robbery and murder as just while the act of self defense is punished as the foulest of crimes.

Ultimately the doublethinker treats the United States of America, the greatest and most morally advanced nation on Earth, as vilest of evils, fit only for destruction.  As an individual the doublethinker is merely insane, as a political activist the doublethinker is a mortal hazard to individual persons and to Mankind in General.

If President Trump was murdered by the Marxists or their Islamist allies the result wouldn't be, as a campus commie imagines it, the ascendance of the Marxist elite, but instead it would be the initiation of the long overdue extermination of the followers of Karl Marx.

Hell, skip the assassination, let's start now.

Thoughts For The Day

As suggested by someone (whom I won't name to avoid embarrassing him) I've read some of the things written by advocates of Gun Control.  There's no valid excuse to disarm the citizens of ANY nation.  Most of the perpetrators of The Holocaust believed they were good people doing good acts.  The fact's that some adherents of what was politely called gun control are in fact the heirs of Adolf Hitler and the National Socialist German Workers Party.  As a result it’s become very easy to predict what an advocate of public disarmament will say.  All one has to do is take any mouth dropping of any National Socialist and substitute the words Gun Owner for the word Jew.  Yes, it’s that obvious.   There're reasons I oppose Gun Control.
