Doonesbury lost it's edge years ago. Here is my rant on this from my political comics page.
Hard hitting and way funny in the 70's and even part of the 80's. Now it's just tired and sad. Trudeau can't even be bothered to draw the strip himself anymore (but he is still hip enough to mock himself for it...). It's subject to random reruns of strips and is more interested in far left propoganda than biting at the ankles of power.
