Thirty four years ago I promised myself that I would never send my own children through a public school system. I've kept that promise.
In Pennsylvania a Jewish father who questioned the political balance of an assignment given to his daughter is accused of being a Neo-Nazi.

When the leftists were screaming that authority must be questioned they were directing their screeches at real authority based on real knowledge. If anyone is behaving like an old school National Socialist it's the teacher and teacher's union president. And both of those idiots will be perfectly free to scream their falsehoods in the private sector. Yes, they should both be fired.
Better yet, let's separate education from government.
And then there's a primary school principal in Georgia who not only needs to be fired, but also needs to be horsewhipped.

But that's my opinion.

Two interesting teachable points in the first story.
The first is that this is a perfect and all too common example of how the "tolerant and open minded" so-called "progressive" left deals with anyone who dares to question them. They attack with personal insults and smears. This also keeps them from actually having to answer the question raised. A meta-example of this was made clear by a former member of the federal Civil Rights commission, who was appointed by James Earl Carter, when she pointed out that there was no evidence of racism in the Tea Party, but it was "good politics" for democrats to keep accusing them of being racists.
The second is that the attack came from from the President of the Teachers' Union, not a school official. This points out who is really running that school. For those who haven't figured it out yet, it isn't the people elected to the school board.
