History Lesson

What was the Halifax Explosion?

The Halifax Explosion occurred during the First World War.

What happened?

The Halifax Explosion was the result of a collision between the S.S. Emo and the S.S. Mont Blanc.  The master of the S.S. Emo didn’t believe the rules of seamanship didn’t apply to him.  If the master of the S.S. Emo followed the rules of seamanship the Halifax Explosion wouldn’t have happened.

The rules apply to everyone without exception.
