There is a big box strip mall, The Quarry Center, just off of the closed section of I 35W where I do a lot of grocery shopping. The grocery store didn't appear to be effected by the closure but parking lots in front of the other stores were very close to being empty.
Seriously.
Before Wednesday I would drive around the perimeter of the main parking lot in order to avoid the clogged lane right in front of the retail buildings to get to the Rainbow Foods grocery store. On Thursday I just followed the lane in front. It was that dead there.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled reality.
