In order to accept the sacrifice of Jesus as depicted in The Passion Of The Christ, one has to accept the the following premises:
That the Universe is not inherently eternal in nature and thus requires a creator, a.k.a. God.Oh yeah. One has to believe that Jesus is the son of God.
That God is incompetent and that actions God does not want to occur will happen anyway.
That God's desire for obedience and worship (first from angels and later from men) are not symptoms of a severe psychological disorder.
That guilt, and thus punishment, for the actions of one man (Adam) can be imputed or passed on to his alleged descendants.
No. I definitely don't think so.
